Yesterday was Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a federally recognized day of service to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy.

Last Wednesday, our CEO Hans Vestberg, VCG leaders and V Teamers across the country gathered in-person and virtually for the 2023 VCG kickoff.

During the high-energy event, leaders shared their priorities for the year and all the ways in which they will deliver growth, drive customer loyalty and create incredible customer experiences across our entire portfolio— from home to mobile and from value to premium.

Verizon Business news

This weekend, Verizon Business was at the National Retail Federation Big Show in NYC to demonstrate the major impact Verizon 5G, reliable connectivity, collaboration solutions and more have on the retail industry. Demonstrations included:

• A hologram experience
• 5G Edge Cashierless Checkout
• Automated returns
• BlueJeans by Verizon
• Data protection
• And more!

And in other top business news, Verizon announced the launch of Verizon Mobile for Microsoft Teams, a new service that integrates mobile devices with Microsoft Teams for easier calling and collaboration.

Verizon launched Verizon Mobile for Microsoft Teams to create a unified business communications experience, delivering true mobile flexibility with the power of Verizon 5G and Teams to users working from anywhere.

Global Network and Technology news

Residents and visitors in the Silver Valley area of Northern Idaho just got a boost to their network service. Verizon engineers recently completed an upgrade to the cell sites serving the area, deploying fiber cables to move data from local cell towers through the rest of the network.

And this wasn’t an ordinary upgrade: It will give our customers more capacity, faster response time, and laid the infrastructure for future network growth in the form of new towers coming to the area soon.

And, our network team members proved they were committed to upgrading our network regardless of the elements that attempted to slow them down.

Joseph Soumis, an engineer in Network Operations, and Thomas A. Stobaugh, senior manager of Network Operation, braved the snow and freezing temps to complete the upgrade. Yet another example of the dedication to deliver the best Network.

Verizon Global Services Group kicks off 2023 together

The Verizon Global Services Group met for their 2023 kickoff to discuss how they will deliver on their mission to enable customer and V Teamer end-to-end experiences and do it more efficiently than ever.

We caught up with Amanda Bailey, a V Teamer from the VGS organization who shared her excitement following today’s event.
