Smart Jeans, newborn phone #’s and more!

Smart Jeans

We have smartphones, smart TVs and even smart homes. Now, Verizon is introducing Smart Jeans, not to be confused with BlueJeans, our video collaboration platform.

Quality jeans can be expensive, and when we stick our phones in our pockets, over time, they can leave an awkward imprint. In fact, 65% of the population experiences this– it’s even got a name: “phone pants.” So, that’s where Smart Jeans comes in.

Thanks to our state-of-the-art Verizon 5G Ultra Wideband (with ultra-stretch material) and your existing smartphone, you can protect your valuable jeans from the daily grind of life.

Here’s how it works:

• Download the Verizon SmartJeans app to your iOS or Android device.
• Enable NFC and tap your smartphone to your jeans to integrate them with your phone.
• Swivel your hips counterclockwise 27 times to activate the service (rotate clockwise to deactivate).

Be sure to stop by a Verizon store today to try a pair on.

A phone number for your newborn

We take our commitment to our customers very seriously, and we’re excited to announce that the network America relies on will now serve even the youngest members of our population.

Starting early next year, all children born in the US, in addition to their nine-digit social security number, will be assigned a 10-digit Verizon phone number at birth.

V Team, employee babies aren’t eligible just yet, but make sure to tell your friends and family.
