You may have heard about “Citizen Verizon,” but do you know what it is exactly? If you’re not 100% sure, here’s an answer for you.

We make this happen through the work we do with our Verizon Innovative Learning program, the ways we connect and empower rural communities and our support of small businesses. It also includes our $3 billion investment in affordable connectivity that shows up in things like Fios Forward and the Emergency Broadband Benefit.
Climate Protection is about caring for our planet and supporting climate justice for our vulnerable communities impacted by climate change. It’s why we set our sights on achieving net zero emissions and planted more than 6 million trees on our way to 20 million trees by 2030. And it’s what’s behind all of the work of our Green Team.
Human Prosperity is about working to level the playing field by providing skills and support so that people can reach their full potential. This includes preparing students for the jobs of the future and making the world a more accessible and inclusive place for people with disabilities.
All in all, Citizen Verizon is one more way we show our customers, investors, and the world around us that we care about the same things they do. And that it takes all of us to make a difference.
So how do we bring Citizen Verizon to life? We do it together as a corporation, with the networks we build, the services we offer and the way we do business.
We also do it as volunteers when we come together to give back. In fact, as the V Team, we’re committing to 2.5 million volunteer hours by 2025 and we’re well on our way to achieving that goal, thanks to you.
