  • Verizon Business is heading to New York City next week to demonstrate the transformative benefits of its business solutions at the next installment of their 5G Innovation Sessions series.

    The event will feature guest speakers from Nokia, AWS and the NHL, as well as a robust lineup of Verizon executives including Massimo Peselli, Jennifer Artley, Iris Meijer, Danny Johnson, and Mark Tina, where they will showcase how Verizon 5G and Mobile Edge Compute is real, available and commercially scalable now.

    It’s a great opportunity for our clients to have a chance to discover the many possibilities to optimize and future-proof their businesses and really experience Enterprise Intelligence firsthand.

  • This week, Verizon Connect launched features for Electric Vehicles in the Reveal Platform. Customers who’ve made the leap to EVs can now better support and manage the Electric Vehicles in their fleet.

    They’ll be able to easily manage their EVs and gas-powered vehicles, increase uptime by seeing their EVs’ charging and battery status information all from one platform, and more.

    To celebrate this exciting news Verizon Connect will plant 2,022 trees in partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation.

  • We also recently announced our partnership with the legendary Martinsville Speedway in Ridgeway, Virginia to provide enhanced Wi-Fi services for fans.

    The new W-Fi connectivity which was officially activated for NASCAR’s penultimate race weekend, gave fans fast and reliable internet from start to finish around the track, as well as at select suites and the midway.

    The enhancements are geared to provide a better experience for race fans eager to share and send photos and videos of races in real-time to help them stay up to date on their favorite drivers, race teams and connect with other fellow fans.

Verizon partners with World Champion Fantasy

Earlier this week Verizon and World Champion Fantasy (WCF), a leading technology developer of PlayerX, the world’s next generation online fantasy Esports platform, announced an exciting multi-year contract.

The partnership will integrate Verizon’s tools, services and techstack into WCF’s new and industry disruptive PlayerX platform.

Thanks to Verizon’s 5G Ultra Wideband, Esports enthusiasts on the PlayerX platform can compete in fantasy leagues using their dream team of esport athletes and teams, watch exclusive live feeds, and access real-time stats.

With PlayerX, users will also have the ability to define the persona, look, and feel of their teams through customizable interactive avatars, theme music, expansive chat capabilities and more.

“Change the Game: Leveling Up Your Career in Esports”

On November 4, 5pm EST Verizon is teaming up with video game developer Riot Games to host “Change the Game: Leveling Up Your Career in Esports” an evening of networking, insight, and celebration of women in esports at the Verizon 5G Labs in Los Angeles.

The event is focused on educating women on how to kick start their career in the gaming industry without having to become professional gamers and will feature a live panel of women who have built a name for themselves in the gaming industry. They will be sharing their story in the hopes of helping other women pursue their own professional growth.

You can tune in virtually on the Valorent Twitch and YouTube channel.

La Brea, a one of a kind AR experience

NBC and Verizon announced a new, first-of-its-kind augmented reality experience for Fios customers and fans of the NBC hit series “La Brea.”

The experience, which runs through the end of the year, allows fans to interact with La Brea’s defining sinkhole to reveal classic objects from the television series.Fans will ultimately be rewarded with an exclusive deleted scene from the series.

Customers can access the La Brea experience on their Fios set top box by tuning into channel 941 using their remote control or via the channel guide. From there, users can scan a QR code from their mobile device to launch the experience.
