On today’s Up To Speed, host Diana Alvear was live from the November Leadership Forum with Hans and Christy.

Holiday shopping with Walmart

Once again this year, Verizon Media and Walmart are teaming up to offer "30 Days of Savings," a holiday campaign empowering consumers with new commerce content, gift guides and interactive series to help them navigate shopping, save time and enjoy the season with the ones they love.

Leadership Forum

Hans will be leading our November Leadership Forum for the next two days. He reminded us that it was almost exactly two years ago that we launched Verizon 2.0. Today, we’re reflecting on what we’ve achieved so far, our priorities for the future and how we can continue to improve.

COVID-19 update

In many parts of the world, cases are rising. Please stay vigilant and keep yourself and your family safe. Be sure to check our COVID-19 resource page for the latest updates.

VZPulse Results

We’re excited that 83% of the V Team participated in our latest VZPulse survey. Christy shared the results. Going forward, leaders will review this feedback and continue to refine their action plans. Thanks to all for helping us as we continue to move from “great” to “fantastic.”

What Good Looks Like

As part of Global Network & Technology’s Moment to Movement initiative, we’re sharing a preview from the “What Good Looks Like” campaign. The campaign will share V Teamer stories as part of a toolkit to help people leaders build more inclusive teams. What Good Looks Like will launch in a few days and will consist of themes created through powerful V Teamer stories from various levels, races, genders and abilities.

Our first story highlights Josh Andrews, End User Support in Reading, UK, who inexplicably began losing his hearing at the age of 35. Check out the video to see how Josh’s manager made a simple gesture that made an incredible impact on his life.

Dinner table tips

Hans shared his suggestions on what we can discuss with friends and family at the dinner table, be it Thanksgiving or any other meal.

  • What we offer to our customers ‒ Fios and Wireless ‒ including Friends & Family, Mix & Match, Verizon Up, Verizon Visa card, etc.
  • Our pandemic response; how V Teamers have supported our customers and each other through all of the challenges.

That’s all for now. Stay safe. Let’s finish the fourth quarter strong!
