Diwali celebration
Today is Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, a south asian festival celebrated by many around the world. This past weekend our communications colleagues Sravya and Adi showed up at the Southlake, TX DiwaliFest and had a chance to talk to folks about 5G Home Internet, offer free Kindness Henna, gave out desserts and a tech giveaway. Perhaps you recall that in early September, Raquel spoke with Chief Network Officer Joe Russo about the new network feedback form. Joe promised to come back and update us on its progress and he joined us for another episode of our new series ‘3 Questions With’ to learn more about the progress.

- Visit the My Verizon app, (It’s available in the latest version of the app, so you might need to update before you’re able to participate.)
- Once you have the latest app, go to “More” and then “Feedback” to submit.
New prepaid Unlimited plans
V Team, here’s some exciting news, we recently announced new Prepaid plans including Unlimited for as low as $50 a month with Auto Pay, offering customers even more perks on our network, for even less, including Disney+ for 6 months on us. With Verizon Prepaid, customers can access great prices and device options that are flexible with no credit checks, deposits or annual contracts required - like the new Verizon Prepaid Unlimited Plus plan which delivers more for less, including 5G Ultra Wideband, six months of Disney+ on us, 25GB of premium Mobile hotspot data, and international features with one included Global Choice country and talk, text and data to and from Mexico and Canada.
Records Compliance week
Today is the start of Records Compliance week and Raquel stressed the importance of information and how we should strive to do our part to manage it properly.
She encouraged V Teamers to take some time this week to look through your electronic and hard copy records to make sure they are being managed correctly. Having the right records, in the right place at the right time will help both you and Verizon.

Breast Cancer Awareness
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and today we’re shining a light on V Teamer Emily Schultz, VBG Director of Field Marketing for Public Sector. Emily was diagnosed with Breast Cancer at the beginning of the pandemic after the birth of her daughter. And recently, Emily shared her story in an article featured in today’s Motivational Monday. In it, she details the challenging journey through her chemotherapy treatment and how her friends and family, including her Verizon family, came together to support her. She cites our Verizon Benefits and the Verizon Health & Wellness Team as helpful resources in her recovery.

In honor of all our Breast Cancer survivors and those who are still fighting, Raquel ended the episode with a moment of hope. V Teamer, Robin Tyson, a 12 year Breast Cancer survivor shared a picture of what she calls her Hope Corner and we shared it with all of you. This Hope Corner is dedicated to fighters, survivors and future generations.
