On today’s episode of Up To Speed we celebrated the grand opening of our newest Total By Verizon exclusive store in Inglewood,CA.

Total by Verizon is the newest, fast-growing no-contract prepaid wireless brand within the Verizon Value portfolio. Last year we celebrated the grand opening of the first Total By Verizon store in Passaic NJ, meaning the brand is celebrating its first year anniversary! Since then, Total by Verizon has launched in more than 50,000 national retail locations and has opened hundreds of Total by Verizon exclusive stores throughout the country, with hundreds more planned for the remainder of the year.

Host Jennifer Marin caught up with SVP & President of the Verizon Value segment Angie Klein to learn more about the new Inglewood store location and more exciting news.

Major expansion

Angie shared how excited we are to be bringing new choices, from Verizon, to the value market, and directly taking on Metro, Cricket and Boost.

Since the brand’s introduction one year ago, we’ve opened hundreds of Total by Verizon exclusive stores around the country to bring the power of Verizon’s award-winning networks, improved customer experiences and a variety of high quality, reliable, no-contract wireless solutions to value-conscious consumers.

Plus, here’s a cool fact, the Total by Verizon exclusive store openings are the most rapid retail roll-out in Verizon history!

Local community impact

Angie explained that part of what makes our expansion so important for local communities is that each Total by Verizon exclusive store is independently owned and locally operated, offering new opportunities for hard-working residents, and representing our investment in and commitment to the community.

All area Total by Verizon exclusive stores have a kiosk where customers can learn about the California LifeLine program and Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) and verify their eligibility for these benefits. These government programs assist in bridging the digital divide by helping people afford the critical voice and broadband access they need for work, school, healthcare and more.

A special donation

Angie shared that in an effort to continue investing in the communities we serve, Verizon is donating $10,000 to the Social Justice Learning Institute (SJLI), Inglewood’s college preparation and youth leadership program dedicated to improving the education, health, and well being of youth and communities of color. It’s another example of our commitment to serving our customers and our diverse communities which is especially important as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.
