Moto Z Play Droid Edition - Add a Personal / Corporate Email Account

Here's how to set up a personal / corporate email account on your Moto Z Play Droid Edition.
  • Common email server addresses (POP3 / IMAP / SMTP) for personal email are periodically updated by Verizon and may not be current. Refer customer to email provider if additional assistance is needed.
  • Corporate email settings are not maintained by Verizon. Refer customer to Exchange / IT admin for additional assistance.
Verizon verifies access to data services only, which can be checked by viewing a website. If you need assistance setting up a corporate email account, contact your Exchange / IT admin.

  1. From a Home screen, navigate:
    Apps icon Apps icon
    Settings
    Users and Accounts
    .
  2. Tap
    Add account..
  3. Tap
    Personal (IMAP)
    or
    Personal (POP3)
    .
    Check with your email provider or Exchange / IT admin to determine which account type to use.
  4. Enter the email address then tap the
    Next icon
    Next icon (lower-right).
  5. If presented, tap the appropriate account type (e.g., POP3, IMAP).
  6. Enter the password then tap the
    Next icon
    .
  7. Enter the appropriate info (e.g., Username, Password, Security type, etc.) then tap the
    Next icon
    .
    If not presented, skip to step 6.
  8. Enter the appropriate info (e.g., SMTP server, Port, Security type, etc.) then tap the
    Next icon
    .
    If you're not sure what your server info is, here are some common personal email server addresses. Contact your email provider if additional assistance is needed or your server info isn't listed.
  9. Configure account options (e.g., Sync frequency, Inbox download size, etc.) as desired then tap the
    Next icon
    .
    Depending upon the email account type, the available options may vary.
  10. Enter an account name (optional) then tap the
    Next icon
    .
    If presented, ensure a name is entered for outgoing messages.

    Add account
    .
  3. Tap
    Exchange (for corporate email account)
    .
    Check with your email provider or Exchange / IT admin to determine which account type to use.
  4. Enter your corporate email address then tap the
    Next icon
    Next icon (lower-right).
  5. Enter your password then tap the
    Next
    .
    If prompted, tap
    CONTINUE
    to confirm.
    If setup is unsuccessful, tap
    Manual Setup
    .
  6. If needed, engage your Exchange / IT admin for additional support on:
    • Email address
    • Server address
    • Domain
    • Port number
    • Username
    • Password
    • Activate device administration
      Applies corporate security policy (e.g., Set up password, Device encryption).
      Device encryption can exceed 60 minutes.
    • Sync options (e.g., Email, Contacts, Calendar)
