Apple iPhone - Configure Personal Hotspot Settings

Here's how to configure Mobile / Wi-Fi Hotspot Settings (e.g., password, etc.) for your iPhone.
For USB tethered connections on your Apple® iPhone®, iTunes® must be installed on the computer.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Tap
    Personal Hotspot
    .
    If Personal Hotspot isn't available, ensure that it's set up.
  3. Tap the
    Allow Others to Join switch
     to turn on.
    The Personal Hotspot activation process may take several minutes.
  4. Tap
    Maximize Compatibility
     in order to switch the network from 5G Hz to 2.4GHz.
    This feature is only available on iPhone 12 and newer models.
  5. To change the Wi-Fi password, tap
    Wi-Fi Password
    , edit the info then tap
    Done
    .
