Here's how to set up and remove facial recognition on your Galaxy Tab S4.

Ensure a secure screen lock type has been set up.

Open the

Settings app

Navigate:

Biometrics and security

Face Recognition

Enter the current PIN, password or pattern.

Do any of the following:

For first-time setup:

Review the info then tap

Continue

Review the info, select 'Yes' or 'No' then tap

Continue

Hold the tablet 8-20 inches away, position your face within the square displayed onscreen.

From the 'Useful features' screen, tap the following switch to turn on or off (e.g., Face unlock, Stay on Lock screen, etc.).

Tap

Tap the

Require open eyes switch

to turn on or off.

Tap the

Brighten screen switch

to turn on or off.

To remove face data:

Tap

Remove face data

To confirm, review the disclaimer then tap

Remove
