High Speed Internet

Verify that all lines and DSL filters are properly connected To check the cable connections to your Westell 2200 modem:
  1. Verify that the telephone line is in good condition.

  2. Verify that a filter is installed between all telephone equipment and the telephone line. The Line side of the filter should be connected to the telephone line, while the Phone side of the filter should be connected to the telephone equipment.

  3. Verify that the modem is connected to the telephone line without using a filter.

  4. Check the modem's Power, DSL, and Ethernet lights on the front of the modem. If they are steady green, you are connected.

    • An unlit Power light means there is no power. Check the cords and power switch.
    • If the DSL light is blinking, restart your system. If it is unlit, there is no power.
    • An unlit Ethernet light indicates there is a problem with the Ethernet link. Verify that your Network Interface Card is working properly.

  5. Check the modem's USB light on the front of the modem. If it is steady green, you are connected.
    • An unlit USB light indicates there is a problem with the USB link.
    • Check the USB cable to make sure it is securely plugged into the USB jack (back of the modem) and the USB port in your PC.
