Email Settings (Verizon Message Center)

To view your Verizon Online Email Settings (via Message Center):

  1. Login to Verizon Online Email via Message Center with your user name and password. Forgot your username and password?
  2. Select Settings from the top navigation and click Email Settings from the left navigation. Update and view the following Email Settings.

To set or change your email options:

  1. From the left navigation, click Options.
  2. Enter the name you want display on outgoing emails, use the drop-down menu to select a default From: address, enter a Reply to: address, and decide if you would like to save sent messages.
  3. Click Save to apply your changes.

Email Filters

  1. From the left navigation, click Email Filters.  Specify the words or email addresses to filter and which folder the messages should be moved to. For example: If you want to automatically delete  all email messages from "Jane Doe", you would select the "From" and "Contain" drop-downs and enter "Jane Doe" into the field.  Then, select the Delete email message radio button.
  2. Click Save to save your changes.

Spam Detector
Spam Detector is the Verizon Online free spam-filtering tool, which helps limit the amount of junk e-mail that enters your inbox.


To use Spam Detector: 

  1. From the left navigation, select Spam Detector
  2. Select the On radio button to enable Spam Detector. Select the Off radio button to disable Spam Detector.
  3. Specify if you want to delete all incoming spam messages or to move them to the Spam Detector folder.
  4. Click Save to save your changes.

Use Forwarding if you want to forward your Verizon Email to another email address. Remember: When E-Mail Forwarding is activated, incoming messages are not sent to your Verizon Email Inbox.

  • To activate Forwarding: From the left navigation, click Forwarding.  Select Yes to specify if you want to forward email messages and include the forwarding email address. Click Save to begin forwarding all incoming email to the email address you specified.
  • To disable Forwarding: Select No next to Forward Email and click Save.


The Blocking feature allows you to manage blocked contacts via a Blocked Senders List. You can also specify which addresses or domains you can always receive email from via a Safe Senders List.


  • To activate Blocking: From the left navigation, select Blocking. Specify if you would like delete or save email messages from contacts on your Blocked Senders List.
  • To disable your Blocked Senders List, specify Don't Use Blocked Senders List.
  • To add contacts to your Blocked Senders List: enter an email address into and click Add. The email address appears in the Blocked Senders text box. You will not receive email messages from the addresses that appear in the Blocked Senders Text Box.
  • To add addresses to Safe Senders: Click Safe Senders and enter email addresses that you always want to receive email from.

Vacation Reply
Respond to messages automatically even if you don't have time right now. The vacation reply feature will send an auto-response to all incoming messages.


  • To activate Vacation Reply: From the left navigation, select Vacation Reply. Select Yes button to enable Vacation Reply. Type your message into the text box and select Save to enable Vacation Reply. All email sent to your Inbox will automatically receive the message you typed into the text box.
  • To disable Vacation Reply, select the No button and click Save.


Create a signature that will appear on all outgoing messages.




  • To active your signature: From the left navigation, select Signature. Select the Yes button to enable Signature button. Type your signature into the text box and select Save to enable Signature. All email messages you send will include the information you typed into the text box. 
  • To disable Signature select the No button and click Save.
