Happy Monday, V Team! On today’s episode of Up To Speed, Raquel kicked off a busy week with some fresh updates around the business–and a very exciting Xbox-related giveaway opportunity.

BlueJeans Meetings

V Teamers around the business rely on BlueJeans Meetings, which just unveiled some new exciting features. This includes enhancements across mobile, desktop and Meta Portal which are focused on improving hybrid collaboration experiences to foster a more diverse and inclusive work environment.

High 5 Plumbing

And speaking of BlueJeans, Raquel shared the story of a plumbing company from Denver, CO called High 5 Plumbing. Through their virtual service High 5 Live, customers can have a video chat over BlueJeans with a technician to show their issue and then get a cost estimate at the end of the session. A great example of how BlueJeans is helping High 5 Plumbing and other businesses provide top-notch service to their customers.

Fueling The Love

Across the country, our local communications team has been surprising folks at the gas pump and “Fueling the Love.” Local TV stations around the country have been covering this feel-good story about how Verizon is covering the cost of a full tank at local gas stations – and talking up the value of Verizon.

It should come as no surprise to any Verizon customer that our value and feel-good vibes come in many forms. Customers at the pump have been praising Verizon and all the ways we Fuel The Love, and we’re just getting started. You never know where we’ll pop up next!

Phishing and SPAM

Did you know that from May to June 2022 alone, Verizon identified or blocked 2.5 billion unwanted calls for wireless customers, detected more than 26.5 billion spam calls to date and continues to block tens of millions of spam text messages daily on behalf of our customers? On a daily basis, Verizon labels 1.2M calls with [V] for verified callers and 85K with [SPAM?] for robocalls for more than 3M Fios voice customers

Dealing with phishing or SPAM texts? Raquel walked us through a few helpful tips:

• If you receive a Phishing or SPAM email, you can report it by using the ‘Phish Alarm’ button in your email.
• If you receive a text message you think might be malicious, forward it to S-P-A-M (7726), and then delete it.

And remember, if you receive a message you believe to be suspicious, do not respond to the message in any way, do not click any links, do not open any attachments and do not visit or provide any data to any website mentioned.
