New 5G Home cities
Our 5G Ultra Wideband network continues to expand to even more cities. On the fixed wireless side, welcome Phoenix to our 5G Home family. Whether it’s homework, streaming or gaming, the power of 5G Home makes life even sweeter. And, as you may have heard on the 4Q2021 Earnings Results webcast, the plan for 2021 is to double our number of 5G Home cities.
New 5G Mobile cities
On the mobility side, we have three new 5G cities lit up and ready for those blazing-fast 5G mobile devices. To our friends in Columbia, SC, Knoxville, TN, and Colorado Springs, CO, unprecedented speeds are now in the palm of your hands.
This announcement has the Verizon Business team ready to share the good news with our enterprise customers in those cities. That brings our total number of 5G Ultra Wideband cities to 64 and 2,700 5G Nationwide cities.
Our Verizon Business leader Tami Erwin was on Yahoo Finance sharing how business leaders are looking to make 5G a part of their enterprise comeback story in 2021. Lots of details to unpack in that research.
Our latest spot
If you check out this week’s Earnings Results webcast, make sure you look out for our latest “Verizon versus Verizon” spot, which highlights how we are in a league of our own when it comes to setting the highest standards. The world is taking notice, as RootMetrics awarded us the Best Network in America. We are also the #1 network for public safety 19 straight times now and the most awarded for network quality by JD Power 26 times in a row. We are America’s most-awarded network and that’s something we should all be proud of.
Looking forward to February
Monday, February 1, we’re back here live on Up To Speed with our Chief Human Resources Officer Christy Pambianchi. Christy will help us kick off Black History Month with an update on our racial and social justice action plan. There’s also a new VZ Pulse survey opening Monday, so we’ll talk to her about that. And, live from Tampa, FL, we’ll check in with our own Jess Bonardi for an overview of how Verizon is finding ways to score during the week leading up to the big game.
George Talks Tech - and specifically Samsung Galaxy S21 5G.
Just as Andy was about to meet his goal and wrap up the news in under five minutes, George Koroneos stopped by to talk about the brand new Samsung Galaxy S21 5G series that just dropped.
George loves the Galaxy S, Samsung’s top-of-the line smartphone series, and this year they’ve got three models: the Galaxy S21, S21+ and the S21 Ultra. George has been using the Ultra in Phantom Black for a few weeks now and is over the moon about all that these phones offer:
- All three phones come loaded with powerful cameras that let you shoot from any angle. There’s even a new Director’s View that lets you shoot with the front camera and all the rear cameras in real time. That’s awesome for video podcasts.
