VZPulse+ Survey

Our VZPulse+ Survey -- this one we are partnering with Gallup -- will help us measure our performance and benchmark how we’re doing compared to other global companies. Make sure you complete the survey today. Survey closes Monday, August 10.

ADA anniversary

Thirty years ago, the American Disabilities Act was signed into law by President George H.W. Bush. We celebrate and honor this important and inclusive milestone. Verizon Media will host an event on Wednesday, July 29, at 3 PM ET/12 PM PT. Learn more.

Credo Award Winner Irma Burger

During Friday’s 2Q Results webcast, we got to meet V Teamer and super volunteer Irma Burger, a Solutions Specialist in Columbia, SC. Hans surprised her with news that she is our latest Credo Award winner. Irma urged us all to volunteer and get involved in our communities.

In honor of Irma, a U.S. Army veteran, the Verizon Foundation team will make a $10,000 donation to The Objective Zero Foundation, which helps enhance social connectedness and access to wellness and mental health resources to combat suicide within the military community.

Citizen Verizon Assembly

Tomorrow, Verizon will bring together business leaders, activists and thought leaders for the inaugural Citizen Verizon Assembly: Charging Social Change Forward. The hour-long virtual event will focus on the importance of corporate responsibility to address the most pressing global economic, environmental and social issues.

Speakers include founder of Venture4America and former U.S. presidential candidate Andrew Yang, actress model and activist Yara Shahidi, and our own Hans Vestberg among other leading change makers. The event will be live-streamed on Yahoo Finance on July 28 from 5 - 6 PM ET/2 - 3 PM PT.
