- Monday: We shared a special segment hosted by Communications Manager Chris Serico and two-time Super Bowl MVP and New York Giants legend Eli Manning about Verizon’s Network reliability just in time for football season.
- Tuesday: We met V Teamer Isaac Carson, a Customer Service Senior Manager, who shared the personal story of how he nearly became a single dad.
- Thursday: We shared two episodes, a new episode of Entérate Con Verizon highlighting the start of Hispanic Heritage Month. And our CEO Hans Vestberg joined live at noon and shared some important business updates.

Today is launch day for the iPhone 14 and Consumer Field Sales leader Kelley Kurtzman joined us live from our store in Fort Collins, Colorado, to share the excitement felt at the store.
Kelley shared more about our new One Unlimited for iPhone plan which gives Apple lovers access to Apple One. Apple One includes Apple Music, Apple TV, Apple Arcade and iCloud+. Verizon Business helps Vista Recreation provide quality customer experiences
Vista Recreation is one of the largest operators of outdoor recreation facilities, with campground locations spanning 16 states and is on a mission to provide safe and unique camping experiences for the public while partnering with public agencies to foster and promote sustainable outdoor destinations.
Given the isolated nature of campgrounds, they are often considered what Ray Lucas, Director of Information Technology, calls a “communication desert.” Yet, thanks to Verizon’s Small Business solutions, Vista Recreation is able to provide their customers with a quality experience by enhancing their cloud based systems.
Verizon set to build a private 5G network at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam
Verizon was recently awarded $11.5 million dollars to build a private 5G network in an aircraft maintenance hangar, at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam.
The design will allow military leaders to leverage the high-speed, high-bandwidth and low-latency of Verizon 5G. It will also provide the opportunity for on-base personnel to explore how enhanced wireless coverage can increase operational efficiencies.
Verizon’s construction of a private 5G network at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam follows its announcement earlier this year of a commercial 5G Ultra Wide Band millimeter wave tower, also located on the base.
VALOR gives back
VALOR, our Veteran focused Employee Resource Group, has been hard at work at the Sheck’s House for Veterans in Washington, DC.
VALOR has dedicated over 200 hours towards building the home with a group of more than 100 V Teamers from the Network, Public Sector, Consumer and Government Affairs teams and the Motorola Veteran Business Council. From fresh paint inside, a new fence and an updated patio and place to BBQ, the Sheck House is quickly becoming a loving home to live in.
As part of Citizen Verizon, we have a goal to provide 2.5 million hours of volunteerism in the community under three pillars: Digital Inclusion, Climate Protection and Human Prosperity.
5G Ultra Wideband delivered to Innovation Hub at University of South Carolina
Verizon has delivered 5G Ultra Wideband service to Innovation Hub at University of South Carolina housed in the McNair Center.
Innovators will now be able to develop and test real-world 5G solutions for use cases such as manufacturing, healthcare and civil infrastructure.
Innovators at the hub will leverage 5G connectivity and solutions to help improve manufacturing processes with quality sensing and defect detection. In healthcare, they’ll test how 5G can enhance emergency response by enabling remote health monitoring and real-time analysis of patient vitals, as well as hospital connected asset management, to streamline asset retrieval and dispatch operations. When it comes to civil infrastructure, researchers will examine how 5G communications can enhance monitoring of roads and bridges with condition analytics and reporting, as well as drone-based visual inspection of roads, bridges and buildings, using AI-driven computer vision.
