Gizmo Watch 3 introduces kids to wireless technology safely. Only parent-approved contacts¹ can call or text your child’s watch, and the watch can’t access any internet content. Use the GizmoHub app² on your phone to easily keep up on your child’s Gizmo location on the map. Not a very good watch phone, the tracking is awful, battery life if bad, service on it not very good. If i hadnt got it for my daughter for her birthday i would have sent it back. Not sure what the surcharge is about it wasnt on my estimated bill, the surcharge is almost $10 and it says its not a tax.

Dependent on carrier coverage. Device must be turned on. Verizon makes no representations or warranties about the availability or accuracy of the GPS or about the accuracy or completeness of any map data or other information.
A video call has a three minute time-duration limit to prevent the device from overheating. Video calls end automatically after the three minute duration.
Battery life and charge cycles vary with use, settings, and other factors; actual results will vary.
Data usage applies for app download and use. Video and photo features are available only on Gizmo Watch 3 and Gizmo Watch Disney Edition.

GizmoWatch 3 now includes a touchscreen keyboard so kids can say exactly what they want to say, instead of being limited to a list of prewritten messages. They can have a text chat with a parent-approved contacts individually or with everyone at once in a Gizmo group chat. Using the GizmoHub app, parents can create their child’s Gizmo chat groups and select members for the group.

Stay focused, be active and have fun.

Encourage a sense of responsibility in your child by creating a task list in the GizmoHub app that syncs with the Gizmo Watch 3, as does setting a daily step goal. For fun, there's Tic-Tac-Toe, a timed jumping game, a pattern-matching game called Gizmo Says, and Puzzle. Kids can even learn about the local weather forecast from their Gizmo Watch 3 and choose a digital watch face that changes with the seasons.

Let kids be Gizmo buddies.

Siblings or friends with Gizmo watches can be set up in the GizmoHub app as Gizmo buddies⁶ so they can call, video call or message each other with emojis, photos and voice or video recordings. In addition, Gizmo Watch 3 has a new way to make Gizmo buddies. If two Gizmo Watch 3's are in the same room, they can find each other's watches via Bluetooth and send requests to their parents to be Gizmo buddies.

Worry less about the “where are you?”

Of course, your child's location is a top concern. That's why location and map features are front and center on the GizmoHub app. Create multiple location alerts to know your child's location at a specific time each day, or when they cross in or out of specific areas. Tap the refresh location or real-time tracking buttons to get location updates on demand. Also, your child can easily use their Gizmo Watch 3 to check in and send you a real-time location notification.

Challenges with connecting to Gizmo watch first time

Gizmo watch 3. We upgraded the watch from Gizmo 2, which got damaged. Trying to connect to the watch was frustrating as the instruction never said to call Verizon to have it activated before trying to connect the watch. Spend 50 on a local celluar store representing this - so little disappointing in this part. Otherwise, watch seems good.

Save yourself the time and trouble and avoid this. The closed ecosystem is a pain to manage and outweighs the benefits. The quality of the product is poor. Our first one died in 4 months and the customer service is abysmal. We were sent two factory refurbished units from Asurion that didn’t work and then finally got a new one from Verizon which they couldn’t figure out how to get it to work…. It took two weeks and eight hours of effort to find someone who could actually help…only complaining on social media helped

Video call and location is worthless

Super disappointed. Watch sometimes says my kid across town when they are playing in the backyard. The video call function doesn’t work it has an echo and become glitchy after a bit. Super annoying. I will be returning it. Pretty unhappy about a $50 restocking fee.

Doesn't Update, Can't Locate and horrible battery.

We decided to try this for our child and regret not going with another brand. The battery is terrible, we have had to reformate and install it 3 times, due to failing to update the software. You try to locate the watch and it will spin for minutes and then give you a incorrect location. It is only good for texting and calling with your child.

Hi Pippion. If the GPS signal is strong, the reported location will be more precise. If a connection to GPS cannot be made, then the watch uses the LTE network for backup, but then the location will be less accurate. Gizmo Watch 3 is IP68 rated for dust and water resistance. Its screen has Gorilla Glass 3. If you are interested in a tougher screen, you may want to consider the Gizmo Watch 3 - Adventure model which has a diamond-like carbon coating (DLC).

Yes. Gizmo Watch 3 has a camera. Kids can do video calls, record and send video messages and take photos and send them in messages. Note that calling and messaging messaging are allowed only to trusted contacts approved by the parent/guardian.
