Gizmo Watch 3 introduces kids to wireless technology safely. Only parent-approved contacts¹ can call or text your child’s watch, and the watch can’t access any internet content. Use the GizmoHub app² on your phone to easily keep up on your child’s Gizmo location on the map. Yes, I'd recommend this product.

I got this for my 6 year old. He and his 4 year old sister will be going to their mothers for the summer and I want to be able to communicate with them more than I was able to last year. So far this is perfect and so easy for him to use. Video chat is clear and so far everything is more than I expected.

They don’t sell the charger

I wanted to share just in case you end of having issues with your charger. They don’t sell the charger separately. Only in the box. Informed by Corporate Location on Six Forks in Raleigh, N.C. Still paying for a dead watch. Verizon, if you see this please sell charger separately. Thank you.

Dependent on carrier coverage. Device must be turned on. Verizon makes no representations or warranties about the availability or accuracy of the GPS or about the accuracy or completeness of any map data or other information.
A video call has a three minute time-duration limit to prevent the device from overheating. Video calls end automatically after the three minute duration.
Battery life and charge cycles vary with use, settings, and other factors; actual results will vary.
Data usage applies for app download and use. Video and photo features are available only on Gizmo Watch 3 and Gizmo Watch Disney Edition.

GizmoWatch 3 now includes a touchscreen keyboard so kids can say exactly what they want to say, instead of being limited to a list of prewritten messages. They can have a text chat with a parent-approved contacts individually or with everyone at once in a Gizmo group chat. Using the GizmoHub app, parents can create their child’s Gizmo chat groups and select members for the group.

Stay focused, be active and have fun.

Encourage a sense of responsibility in your child by creating a task list in the GizmoHub app that syncs with the Gizmo Watch 3, as does setting a daily step goal. For fun, there's Tic-Tac-Toe, a timed jumping game, a pattern-matching game called Gizmo Says, and Puzzle. Kids can even learn about the local weather forecast from their Gizmo Watch 3 and choose a digital watch face that changes with the seasons.

Let kids be Gizmo buddies.

Siblings or friends with Gizmo watches can be set up in the GizmoHub app as Gizmo buddies⁶ so they can call, video call or message each other with emojis, photos and voice or video recordings. In addition, Gizmo Watch 3 has a new way to make Gizmo buddies. If two Gizmo Watch 3's are in the same room, they can find each other's watches via Bluetooth and send requests to their parents to be Gizmo buddies.

Worry less about the “where are you?”

Of course, your child's location is a top concern. That's why location and map features are front and center on the GizmoHub app. Create multiple location alerts to know your child's location at a specific time each day, or when they cross in or out of specific areas. Tap the refresh location or real-time tracking buttons to get location updates on demand. Also, your child can easily use their Gizmo Watch 3 to check in and send you a real-time location notification.

I had to call tech service to get it set up. It took hours and never went through. I returned it and Verizon charged me a $50 “restocking” fee. Overall, it wasn’t an actual refund and I was left wishing I had never walked in there in the first place.

I don’t like that there isn’t a level or role for call/text only. It’s either call only or if the person is a texting contact they also get full location access. There should be an in between to allow grandparents or other friends with cell phones to be a texting contact without full caregiver access. I also didn’t know everyone would have to download the app in order to text the watch.

I bough one of these for my daughter and one for my son. Both stopped working correctly within a matter of months. I bought my son , who is older, a phone as a replacement, but purchased another Gizmo for my daughter. It has now stopped correctly as well. So frustrating!

Daughter loves it. Great 1st step into smart devices. Wish the battery life was better but for the price this is awesome. Also wish it had the option to text without the person being able to track child

Can anyone who is on the contact list locate where the child is?

You choose who you would like to allow to track the child. Caregivers and guardians can locate while calling contacts can not locate. No, not everyone needs the GizmoHub app to communicate with a Verizon Gizmo Watch 3; while only designated caregivers and guardians with the app can send messages or access location features, Only parent-approved contacts can call or text your child’s watch. -Erica

Can the child text other contacts on the watch like her friends? Or is it only the guardians?

You can manage contacts on a Gizmo Watch using the GizmoHub app on a guardian's smartphone. The number of contacts that can be saved on a Gizmo Watch depends on the model. Gizmo Watch 3 can have up to 20 contacts, including the Primary Guardian. Earlier Gizmo devices allow up to 10 contacts, including the Primary Guardian.
