Gizmo Watch 3 introduces kids to wireless technology safely. Only parent-approved contacts¹ can call or text your child’s watch, and the watch can’t access any internet content. Use the GizmoHub app² on your phone to easily keep up on your child’s Gizmo location on the map. With an SOS button, voice and video calling³, and text messaging, staying in touch with your child is as close as their wrist. Don't waste your money. We bought this watch for my son as he started school and was riding the bus. We mainly wanted it for the gps feature. I would say the watch will pick up signal maybe 20% of the time. He is in an area with good cell service when it's needed so it's not because of that. Also, the watch shuts off randomly and there's no way to turn it on using the app. We've made sure the updates are done when available. Occasionally, while on the charger, the watch will shut off and it will not power back on right away. It takes 5-10 tries to get it to power on. The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because the call/ text features have had no issues, although we don't really use them except to practice with our son (in the event he would need it).

A video call has a three minute time-duration limit to prevent the device from overheating. Video calls end automatically after the three minute duration.
Battery life and charge cycles vary with use, settings, and other factors; actual results will vary.

GizmoWatch 3 now includes a touchscreen keyboard so kids can say exactly what they want to say, instead of being limited to a list of prewritten messages. They can have a text chat with a parent-approved contacts individually or with everyone at once in a Gizmo group chat. Using the GizmoHub app, parents can create their child’s Gizmo chat groups and select members for the group.

Stay focused, be active and have fun.

Encourage a sense of responsibility in your child by creating a task list in the GizmoHub app that syncs with the Gizmo Watch 3, as does setting a daily step goal. For fun, there's Tic-Tac-Toe, a timed jumping game, a pattern-matching game called Gizmo Says, and Puzzle. Kids can even learn about the local weather forecast from their Gizmo Watch 3 and choose a digital watch face that changes with the seasons.

Let kids be Gizmo buddies.

Siblings or friends with Gizmo watches can be set up in the GizmoHub app as Gizmo buddies⁶ so they can call, video call or message each other with emojis, photos and voice or video recordings. In addition, Gizmo Watch 3 has a new way to make Gizmo buddies. If two Gizmo Watch 3's are in the same room, they can find each other's watches via Bluetooth and send requests to their parents to be Gizmo buddies.

Worry less about the “where are you?”

Of course, your child's location is a top concern. That's why location and map features are front and center on the GizmoHub app. Create multiple location alerts to know your child's location at a specific time each day, or when they cross in or out of specific areas. Tap the refresh location or real-time tracking buttons to get location updates on demand. Also, your child can easily use their Gizmo Watch 3 to check in and send you a real-time location notification.

Seems to be a great upgrade from the Gizmo 2 so far. Enjoying the video and camera aspect of the Gizmo 3. Daughter also loves the mini games to play.

We have had this watch almost 2 years and my daughter loves it and we do to. I like that we can gps track her location and talk texas or video chat with her at anytime. She has worn it to school for the last 2 years and we take comfort that she can call us in case of emergency. We love this watch!!

The watch seems to be functioning as expected, getting set up wasn’t as easy as we thought it would be. Don’t like the fact that you can only text and video call through their app and if you give anyone video call and text privileges you automatically share your child location with them, no way to to turn it off for other people unless you only give them call only authorization. Seems like a silly oversight on versions part. Other than that the watch seems solid, holds a charge for a day or two depending on usage and my son loves it.

Yes, I'd recommend this product.

I see a lot of complaints on here, but I'm extremely happy with our new gizmo. It's our first, and my son loves it. He's constantly messaging me with audio, video, and text messages. I love that I know where he's at all the time, and it's a bonus to see his step count daily. I need to keep his chubby butt active, because God knows our food at the grocery store is extremely toxic!

Can I facetime with Apple Watch to Gizmo 3?

No, you cannot use Facetime on the Gizmo 3. Your child can use their Gizmo Watch 3 to have video calls with approved contacts who have been assigned the Guardian or Caregiver role, as long as these contacts have installed the GizmoHub app on their smartphones. Your child can also have video calls with approved contacts who have been assigned the Gizmo Buddy role. Gizmo Buddies are other kids who also have a Gizmo watch, if there Gizmo has a camera. -Joseph

No, Gizmo watches can text with any trusted contact who is assigned a Caregiver, Guardian or Gizmo Buddy role. Caregivers and Guardians need to install the GizmoHub app on their smartphones to send/receive text messages to/from the Gizmo Watch. Gizmo Buddies do not need the GizmoHub app because they are texting from on Gizmo Watch to another. -Joseph

If we buy the gizmo watch do we have to be a Verizon customer? Can we be a spectrum Verizon customer?

The Gizmo Watch can only be activated on a new or existing Verizon account; however, it's not required for the Guardian/Caregiver's device to be serviced by Verizon. The Guardian/Caregiver's device would just need to be compatible to download the GizmoHub app in order to manage the Gizmo Watch. -Necia
