Working parents can't live without it!

Yes, I'd recommend this product.

We are two full time, in office working parents + an anti-cell phone-for-kids family, but still want our girls ages 8 and 11 to have the freedom to roam around town and be unsupervised at the park and on bikes. We live in a crazy safe town so don't think we are negligent ;-) The Gizmo watch is the perfect solution to keeping tabs on them, I can call them and they can call me (+ dad, grandma, grandpa, and our nanny) if and when they need. We can track their location in real time when they walk a mile home from school and see where they are in perfect detail. Is it as technologically advanced as an iPhone? Absolutely not, we didn't buy it so they'd have a super computer on their wrist. It is a one way calling, tracking device for children and it does its job more than well enough for our family. Just bought a third one today! We recommend to everyone who wants to keep tabs on their kids yet not give an 8 year old an iPhone.

Going against the grain here...We love this watch!

In spite of the many negative reviews, we bought this a few months ago for our 8 year old who has recently begun walking to friends houses on his own in our neighborhood. We did have to buy a different charger for it (we got a stand that he can easily manage on his own instead of the odd-shaped charger that it comes with) as well as a velcro band (the band is universal for smartwatches, so that was simple and cheap), but other than that, it's been a fantastic product! Given the cost of it, I can't complain about having to spend a few extra dollars to customize it (don't we do that with all of our phones anyway?) He is able to let us know he's staying at a friend's house for a bit or that he's bringing a herd of children back to our house. We can call him or text him and figure out where he is based on the GPS tracking. The battery life is 4-5 days with moderate usage (he only wears it when he's on escapades in the neighborhood, not all the time). We have not had any of the problems others are complaining about with inaccurate data, but we are located in a large city, so perhaps signal is a factor. If this kind of use sounds like you and your child, I highly recommend this watch.

Awesome product

Yes, I'd recommend this product.

My son with Down Syndrome loves his watch. It has so many parent features that are invaluable to me. He doesn’t actually have to “answer” the phone for me to talk to him. He just started working and the GPS gives me great peace of mind.

No frills

Yes, I'd recommend this product.

I don’t understand why this watch gets back reviews? Our experience has been great and I feel like we’ve gotten our money’s worth. It does the job - calls and texts (pre-programmed responses, but it’s fine!) is all we need to communicate with each other.

Love these, no issues at all

Yes, I'd recommend this product.

We had the older version of these for years and now have upgraded to these a year ago and have never had any issues. Love these. Great reception and GPS location. Holds up well to being dropped often. Timely calls and texts going thru. Kid aren't bothered by the size or strap at all. Can't recommend these enough.

Perfect for kids not ready for phone

Joyful_2010 - 16 days ago

Yes, I'd recommend this product.

We have had 3 Gizmos between 2 kids in the past 6 years. They have always worked as advertised and have been perfect for locating and communicating with the kids. They love the fun apps and activity tracker. Only complaint with some of the older models was the a flaw in the wristband design. This seems to be corrected with newer models. Others have complained about not having screen protector but we've never had an issue with that and we have a very rambunctious, accident-prone child.
