Yes, I'd recommend this product.

I like the gizmo watch 2 but also I wish it had games and more stuff on it for example add like games but kinda educational like math games or just fun games for entertainment overall it's a good watch but I also want to have a option on gizmo hub to change kids wallpaper to a picture I hope we can get it hope gizmo sees this

I have had one 3days and it wont charge. When it was on the lifespans short. The gizmo is good. Verizon in is no help only will give you the runaround and try to upgrade you.

Regarding the staff offering to upgrade, it might be because they see there are newer Gizmo models available (Gizmo Watch 3 and Gizmo Watch 3 - Adventure). If you've only had the watch for a short period, you should be covered under the 1 year manufacturer's warranty. My daughter has had this watch for two years. It's easy to use. It's her first smart watch and I feel comfortable when she has it. My biggest complaint is that she accidentally calls contacts almost every day. I wish there was a way to lock the screen or a password or a way to unlock it. We've also had some issues with it not charging.

Ever since getting this watch, we’ve only had problems. With the device and Verizon. Support sucks. The face broke, tried getting warranty replacement; but the person added another line and a new phone number instead costing me way more money. The charger never works. GPS Doesn’t update for hours/days.

The charger caught on fire while my family of 6 slept

The charger (without the watch on it) lit on fire while my family of 6 was sleeping. We woke up to a horrible smell and smoke; it was terrifying. The watch itself works well but how can I trust the charger now?? So upset and Verizon customer service via phone was so awful. They said they could do nothing to help or rectify the situation. I went into a store and then I was treated with grace and respect. So scary and upsetting!

A vital calling feature is missing, and all the two stars make it sound like this product is "Fine"

The numeric keypad is missing during calls. Without this feature, you cannot change, adjust, or rerecord voicemails, dial extensions, or navigate menus in calls. You could put a button in the top left corner that appears while in a call and, when pressed, pops up a number pad screen.

Yes, I'd recommend this product.

My son has had this watch for over 2 years. We chose this in particular because it does not allow calls or messages from unknown numbers. Overall it has been a good product. As mentioned, the battery life is short. We need to charge it nightly, and the charging mechanism is worthless. I recommend buying a 3rd party elevated charger, or you will be pulling your hair out trying to clean tiny little magnets every single night. I don’t know how the charging mechanism passed any sort of quality control. My son likes the watch and other than the charging, I’ve been happy with it. I like the peace of mind of being able to call him when he’s at a friend’s house. We use this device for calling, messaging, and GPS tracking only.

GizmoWatch 2 does not have the School Mode feature. School Mode is available in the Gizmo Watch 3 and the Gizmo Watch 3 - Adventure.

Is the gizmo watch 3 water resistant?

GizmoWatch 2 is water-resistant, but here's some context you might find helpful: The IP67 rating Gizmo Watch 3 means the watch can be submerged in shallow water for up to 30 minutes. It's good for, say, washing hands, getting caught in the rain and such. However, being overly cautious, we don't recommend using it while swimming, and avoid exposing it to high-pressure water spray, for example at a water park, or from a hose, or from jumping into the pool.

Can the watch connect to Wi-Fi if there is no service to make phone calls or text messaging?

No. Gizmo watches have wi-fi in the background only to assist with location updates. Connectivity for calls and messages is through the Verizon network.

The Gizmo Watch 2 band can be adjusted for wrists as small as 4.5 inches (circumference). The width of the band is about .8 inch (20mm). -Joseph
