I loved this watch! With being a personal trainer, I was able to test out Fitbit, garmin and Apple watches for accuracy. The garmin watches were most accurate with heart rate, activity calorie count and steps where as the other brand were completely off track. This watch has so many useful feature for fitness enthusiast. The only reason I give this 4 starts instead of 5 is because of the looks. I have a small wrist, and this was a little clunky looking on me. I had mine for years before it started to kick the bucket, and I currently use the more stylish updated version of it! Garmin is GREAT!

This watch does so much its a great tool to keep track of my activities and lets me know when I need to increase movement. The community is so nice and will answer any questions I may have. I can also join others to compete in challenges to keep me motivated.

This is my 2nd Garmin fitness tracker & I absolutely love it. I got it specifically because it's a great & accurate constant heart rate monitor and also very detailed on sleep. I've had both heart issues & sleep issues so it's something I like to keep an eye on. It does so much more though! Of course the usual steps, calories burned, floors climbed, last sport etc. You can wear it in the water for swimming or showering at the gym & can customize your watch face.

I love this watch, upgraded from one of the older Samsung watches to the vivoactive. Best decision. It just enough, shows you whos calling, text messages, and app notifications that you choose to see. All while tracking your steps, heart rate, VO2 levels, stress levels, and sleeping pattern. I like that it looks like a watch and has a small screen so that you arent completely attached to technology. Before I was catching myself texting from my Samsung watch at work and school, even talking on the phone. I didt like how distracted I became, this watch gives you the same things without getting that technology addiction that it seems so many of us have. Ive used this to track my running, it is wonderful. It alerts you of every mile and your lap time. You can even set up other alerts when you reach a time goal, heart rate and distance. The app for this watch stores your activity and will keep track of your PRs. Also you can track weight training works and the watch will begin to learn your movements and try to guess the action you did. Its pretty smart but it does lack identifying to some ab and leg movements. The one thing I would change about this is the watch band because I tend to get a small rash on my wrist after a few days on consistent wear.

I will never be able to go back to Fitbit having experienced the wonders of Garmin. For people wanting to track multiple sports, look no farther. For those looking for a stylish piece of jewelry, keep looking. HR has been right on when checked against chest straps and other methods, just a tad bit of lag which is common with wrist sensors. Display, perfect! It is designed to be the most visible with outside light sources. So in a lit room, sunlight, etc it is perfect. It's not meant to be like a 360X360 AMOLED smartwatch, that's not its purpose. Smart features, just right for a fitness watch. Notifications, music controls, and weather all work great.

Heart rate is horribly inaccurate and the device unpairs from my phone at least 6 times a day. Worst Garmin product I have ever come across.

The features says this watch is compatible with Android devices but one person asked if it was compatible with Samsung Galaxy 9 and was told it was not. Has that changed?

Why is this Garmin not compatible with Samsung S7 if everything is run through bluetooth? I am curious because I am shopping around for watches/trackers.
