I assumed over the ear noise canceling would be louder. JBL is a name known to be loud. Unimpressed
Active Noise Cancelling is undetectable

Comfortable, seems easy to use. I tested the active noise cancelling by putting on airplane white noise and turning the active noise cancelling on and off, and honestly could not tell at all when it was on. Might as well save some money and get the headphones without active noise cancelling as these aren't really effective.
