Typed in Serial Number to Microsoft to see that the warranty expired in August, as everyone else here is saying. Was guarantied by a Verizon Rep before purchase that the controller was brand new with an intact warranty. This was a lie. Been on phone with Microsoft for hours to get the warranty fixed. Contacted Verizon about returning, and at first they wanted to charge a return shipping fee. After going off on them about their fraudulent listing, they said they would do me the honor of waiving the shipping fee. This whole situation is wrong. Shame on Verizon.

Yes, I'd recommend this product.

I ordered the product in november. Once I received the product it was still sealed in box when opened I noticed a smudge on the right side of the controller. Everything else looked good. Entered the serial number into my Microsoft account to register my device noticed it was out of warranty as of August 2023. I contacted a "gamer" at Microsoft who could not help me resolve the issue. They transferred me to a real Microsoft associate who I sent the PDF of the receipt, pictures of the sealed box (I had taken beforehand) and pictures of the controller itself. After about 5 minutes they came back and said my warranty would be updated sometime in the next 72 hours. The product looks good doesn't look brand brand new. Maybe just a low quality control batch of controllers. For me as long as my warranty is updated I'm gonna be fine with the product just sucks it was such a hassle to get the warranty updated on a "new" product.

DO NOT BUY, received a broken controller with an expired warranty. Extremely difficult to return! They are denying me exchanges now because I am not a member!! WHO DOES THAT! Especially when the fine print says nothing about that it just says how the return period is extended through the holiday season.... NEVER switching to Verizon! TMOBILE THE GOAT! Now waiting for xbox to approve my warranty extension claim then ill have to wait even longer for it to get fixed... DO BETTER VERIZON how low of you to sell used, broken, and out of warranty products and title them as brand new.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT FROM VERIZON!!! Look at all the reviews that say they got a used controller! I saw the reviews after I purchased, but luckily before I gave to my sons at Christmas, so I check when it came in the mail. Clearly used, spongy buttons, instead of crisp click. I called and eventually got someone to help on my third time passed on. She said that Verizon does not sell used accessories, so someone, somewhere in Verizon is running a scam that they so far are refusing to stop.

Received 'New' controller - box looks sealed, but after reading other reviews I checked the warranty from Microsoft - Expired more than 3 months ago. On closer inspection, looks like light wear on controller too. Re-packing returns I guess.....Now I have to deal with return too. I should have bought from Microsoft directly

Yes, I'd recommend this product.

Unlike some of the other reviews, the controller was new in box (purchased in store because of the reviews). However, when I tried to register the warranty with Microsoft, it stated that the warranty had expired in August of 2023. A short call with Microsoft corrected the warranty. If you purchase this from Verizon CORRECT THE WARRANTY WITH MICROSOFT.

Ordered this on 11/27/23 and received a controller with stick drift already. Went to the Microsoft site to register it for repair and it shows the 1 year warranty already expired on 8/14/23. Got bounced around Verizon support forever too without help

I thought this was a good deal and jumped in. It arrived like new but when I tried to register it on Microsoft website, it showed out of warranty on 8/14/2023. Verizon reps via phone or chat were not helpful to give me a return label. I have to go to a local store to return it. Shame on Verizon for the shady business. won't deal with them again in the future. Controller itself looks well built but i experienced a bit stick drift as many have complained before.

Verizon is selling off old stock inventory and possibly used inventory that was returned in store. Be sure to check to see if items are used and verify warranty online with Microsoft, you must register the device first then check warranty and then if it is expired call Microsoft and dispute the warranty with receipt. The explanation I received was that the warranty start date is the manufacture date. If I end up not getting an updated warranty from purchase date going forward 1 year like the standard warranty you get with the controller then I am returning it to Verizon. I also watched numerous unboxing videos to verify how the controller is setup and the parts in the controller case are located to make sure none were moved incorrectly to ensure they were not used already and misplaced back in the case or refurbished. I will update my review if I am able to once my warranty is fixed.
