Recently the app just won’t stay open on my Apple phone. I’m totally updated on the recent software update.

I started out years ago with Wemo for everything in my house, switches, plugs, dimmers, etc. What would happen is that my hardwired light switch (or plug, etc.) would all of a sudden say "Device not Recognized" and in spite of not only resetting the circuit breaker, but then having to do a hard reset and taking 30+ minutes could I finally get it to reconnect. Sometimes they wouldn't reconnect at all leaving me completely out of control of my switches--usually when I was far away from home on vacation for 2 weeks and somewhere across the country! So now I've replaced all my switches and plugs and will never purchase a Wemo product again. I wasted many hundreds of dollars on Wemo devices, and now I'm paying to replace all of them since they're just not reliable.

I have to deal with these devices on a daily basis. Getting ready to abandon them for better devices. They continually turn on, don’t turn off or don’t turn on at all. I have to reconfigure them constantly. Now the application will not launch, just sits there and spins.

Paired the device using Apple HomeKit. Worked fine for about one month, then stopped working. After reading other reviews, I see this is a common problem. I recommend avoiding this product.

I bought three of these, of which only one worked from the beginning. After returning the two ones which did not work, the third stopped working, being unreponsive and stuck on "updating". DO NOT BUY THESE! It is a complete waste of money

Several years ago I purchased a three-pack of the first generation of these plugs. To set up the unit must be plugged in. To complete the setup you need to scan the code, which is on the back. This pair of requirements can be met only by using an extension cord. After setup one has to unplug the device and plug it into its chosen location. Frequently the device loses its setup as soon as it's unplugged! With one of our three units it ALWAYS loses its setup the instant it's unplugged!! WHY did Wemo put the scan code on the back???
