Good features - phone weight ruined my wrist joints in 1 yr of usage.

Carpal tunnel is insane with this model. At the 10 month mark, I started getting terrible pain in my wrist and right thumb. This is the first Plus/Max sized phone I've had (started 1/21). Now I am paying the price. And the 13 series is even heavier! Beware of repetitive strain injury with the daily usage of this model. I'm going back to smaller/lighter phone ASAP so I can heal. It is taking months.

I switched from iPhone XR a few months ago. Ever since, calls and texts haven’t gone through, I lose service everywhere! It’s just truly a bad phone.

What a mistake

Moneywasted · 13 days ago

A little light to be a boat anchor, but close. I’d list all the problems but would then need a publisher. Freezing, dropped signal, won’t connect to the internet are just some of the problems. Almost no improvement on any level as my old 7 plus, which I wish I still had.

I have had nothing but problems with this phone. Am without cellular service more than with. Even in town, I’ll no have no cell service when my husband has 5G! Then, again, he has AT&T. Maybe it’s the provider and not the phone itself. Who needs a 5G phone when there’s no service!!

Horrible service, new and locks up

1 out of 5 rating

RLSc · 27 days ago

I would not recommend this phone to anyone. After the original RZR, I have owned nothing but an iPhone. This is the first time I am regretting the purchase. I have no service on this phone. My husband has an older model and we sit sit by side and he has 2-3 bars and I have zero. I purchased this phone because of my job as an on-call hospice nurse. I can’t get calls half the time. Apple blames Verizon and Verizon blames Apple. No one will take the responsibility and replace the phone. I am disgusted because I bought the 512gb expensive worthless junk. I am not the only one. This is a very common complaint.

Camera is junk

2 out of 5 rating

Brandi85 · 1 months ago

I had a Samsung and switched to iPhone when it was time for a new phone, I regret that decision. I specifically got the 12 pro max due to what seemed like an excellent camera. The camera is not good at all. It takes regular pictures in daylight just fine, but trying to zoom or take a photo with lights anywhere in the angle forget it. Taking phots of my kids blowing out candles for their birthday were ruined by light glares that show up due to the camera (something that never happened with my old Samsung and doesn’t happen with my husband’s new Samsung phone). Any photo I try to take with Christmas light, light flares everywhere, it’s awful. Night time photos come out ok at best, again my husband’s Samsung takes far better night photos. Don’t even try to get a good picture while zooming, it will look terrible. The phone itself and other features are fine, but if you are looking to use the camera a lot find something, anything else.

I've seen reports of connection issues with the iPhone 12 series on Verizon. Has anyone here experienced that issue OR can anyone at Verizon comment on the issue? Interested in upgrading but concerned about the possibility of having problems.

Can you buy. One. Phone without the service

Verizon Customer Support - 10 months

That is a great question. With regard to purchasing a device you can pay for the phone at full retail if you would like to purchase the device only. It would also be best to go directly through Apple if you are looking to only purchase the phone. - Jasper
