I just got the Pixel 9 last week after having both the Pixel 6 and 7. While I appreciate the phone and the camera, I'm so far underwhelmed with the battery life and the phone heating up during typing.

Salesman set me up with "Protection" that I did not ask for. I had to have it removed. Said my bill would not go up, I checked, clearly it will.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am new to google phones and I have to say I’m very impressed. The performance is even better than I expected. The camera is absolutely beautiful, and it has good battery life compared to my old iPhone! It took a little getting used to the platform, but I love this phone. Huge upgrade.

It's hard to get used to, too heavy in my back pocket-pulls my pants down. It's hard to move around different screens. I was told it's easy to use by my salesman--no it's not. It's hard to find apps.

I've had three pixels. I'm not writing this to compare it to other phones. I'm writing it to compare to other pixels. This is the worst pixel I've ever had. The last pixel 9 I had I had to take it to the store to swap it out because after about 11 months of use it kept just shutting off randomly. Both that first pixel 9 that I got and this new one, the talk to text in general just got WAY worse. It overheats, you need to get bigger storage than the 128g for sure. Unless I'm on WiFi it NEVER plays YouTube videos at 1080p60fps. Never. Waiting for the next pixel. If that is this bad, I'm going iPhone.

I had a Pixel 5, but it stopped keeping a charge. Since I liked my phone so much, it was a no brainer to purchase another Pixel. I actually purchased the Pixel 9 sight unseen, so my fault. I do really like the phone itself, but it's quite heavy compared to my old Pixel 5. That is the sole reason for the 3 stars.
