  1. How do I activate a phone I purchased from Verizon?

    When you order a new phone from us, it will be ready to activate when you turn it on. Simply follow the steps on your screen to complete activation and set up.

  2. I have my own phone that I didn't purchase from Verizon. How can I activate it?

    Visit our Bring Your Own Device page to check eligibility. If your phone is compatible with our network you'll be taken through the steps to activate it.

  3. If I'm bringing my own phone how long after I activate will I be able to use it?

    Typically, you'll be able to use the device within a few minutes. However, in some cases, it may take up to 24 hours.

  4. I need a SIM card for the phone I'm bringing. How do I get one?

    New SIM cards are free from Verizon. You can order one online on the Request SIM card page in My Verizon.

  5. How can I transfer content from my old phone to my new phone?

    The easiest way to get the content from your old phone to your new phone is to visit our Content Transfer Center.
