Verizon Ellipsis® 8 - Enable / Disable / Modify Screen Lock

Here's how to set up, change or turn off the screen lock option (e.g., password, pattern, etc.) for your Ellipsis 8 tablet.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Security
    Screen lock
    .
    If prompted to add a Google™ account:
    • Tap Add Google account now to setup an account.
    • Tap
      Continue
       to proceed without setting up account.
      If presented, enter the current PIN, password or pattern.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Set up Pattern
      1. Tap
        Pattern
        .
      2. Draw an unlock pattern that connects at least 4 dots then tap
        Continue
        .
      3. Draw the same pattern again then tap
        Confirm
        .
      4. If presented, select a notification option then tap
        Done
        .
    • Set up PIN
      1. Tap
        PIN
        .
      2. If presented with the PIN Policy screen, tap
        OK
        .
      3. Enter a numeric PIN that's 4 to 16 digits then tap
        Continue
        .
      4. Re-enter the numeric PIN then tap
        OK
        .
      5. If presented, select a notification option then tap
        Done
        .
    • Set up Password
      1. Tap
        Password
        .
      2. If presented with the Password Policy screen, tap
        OK
        .
      3. Enter a password that's 4 to 16 characters then tap
        Continue
        .
      4. Re-enter the password then tap
        OK
        .
      5. If presented, select a notification option then tap
        Done
        .
    • Disable Screen Lock
      1. Tap 'None' or 'Swipe'.
      2. If presented with "Remove unlock..." prompt, tap
        OK
        .
