Reset Voicemail Password from Device
Easily reset your Voicemail password via the My Verizon app to maintain control over your messages and keep your mailbox protected.
Before you begin
If you receive a 'Your account has no access to the system; please contact your system administrator' announcement:
- You've been locked out of your voicemail box due to too many invalid passcode attempts.
- This hard lock lasts for 30 minutes unless you reset the password using the My Verizon Website.
My Verizon app
- Open theMy Verizon app.
- Navigate: .
- Ensure the desired line displays then do one of the following:
- TapCreate my own passwordthen enter the new password into the required fields.
- TapChoose a password for me.
- TapUpdate.
Calling from a Phone
- Call*611from your Verizon mobile phone or call(800) 922-0204from any phone to reach the automated customer service menu.
- If prompted, enter the requested info for security verification.
- When prompted to state the reason for your call, say "Reset voicemail password".
- Follow the prompts to reset the password.The password can't have repeating digits (e.g., 1111) or consecutive digits (e.g., 1234) and must contain 4-7 numbers.If you receive a text message from the Digital Assistant, click the link then perform the remaining steps as instructed.
