Lenovo tab 4 8 PLUS - Enable / Disable / Modify Screen Lock

Here's how to set up, change or disable the screen lock option (e.g., password, pattern, etc.) for your Tab 4 8 PLUS.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Security & location
    Screen lock
    .
    If promoted to add a Google™ account:
    • Tap Add Google account now to set up an account.
    • Tap
      Continue
       to proceed without setting up an account.
      If presented, enter the current PIN, password, or pattern.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Set up Pattern
      1. Tap
        Pattern
        .
      2. From the 'Secure start-up' screen, tap 'YES' or 'NO'.
      3. Draw an unlock pattern that connects at least 4 dots then tap
        NEXT
        .
      4. Draw the same pattern again then tap
        CONFIRM
        .
      5. If presented, select a notification option then tap
        DONE
        .
    • Set up PIN
      1. Tap
        PIN
        .
      2. From the 'Secure start-up' screen, tap 'YES' or 'NO'.
      3. Enter a numeric PIN between 4 to 16 digits then tap
        NEXT
        .
      4. Re-enter the numeric PIN then tap
        OK
        .
      5. If presented, select a notification option then tap
        DONE
        .
    • Set up Password
      1. Tap
        Password
        .
      2. From the 'Secure start-up' screen, tap 'YES' or 'NO'.
      3. Enter a password between 4 to 16 characters then tap
        NEXT
        .
      4. Re-enter the password then tap
        OK
        .
      5. If presented, select a notification option then tap
        DONE
        .
    • Disable Screen Lock
      1. Tap 'None' or 'Swipe'.
      2. To confirm, tap
        YES, REMOVE
        .
