What you'll need:
Trading in your old phone?
Remove your Google account from your old phone before getting started.
Step 2 Power on your new phone
Hold the power button until the Moto screen appears, then release.
Welcome
From the "Hi there" screen, select the appropriate language, then tap Start.
Step 4 Activate your new moto e6
From the "Phone activation" screen, tap Next. Please allow a few minutes for the activation to complete.
Step 5 Connect to Wi-Fi
From the "Connect to Wi-Fi" screen, select a network. Enter the password and tap Connect or Skip the step. If your network isn't shown, tap See all Wi-Fi networks.
Step 6 Transfer your stuff
Tap Next and follow the steps to transfer your content. If you'd like a fresh start or would like to transfer your stuff later with the Verizon Content Transfer app, tap Don’t copy.
Step 7 Sign in to Google
Sign in to your Google account or create a new one. Signing in to Google allows you to access Gmail and your Google apps.
Step 8 Set up Google services
Google offers a variety of services that help many of their apps function better. Review all of them and tap the corresponding switch to turn them on. You may need to scroll down to see all of the services. Switches are turned on when in the blue position. Tap Accept after you've turned on all the services you want.
Step 9 Set up a screen lock
Adding a screen lock to your phone requires you to enter a PIN number for security when you unlock it, sign into apps or make purchases. Enter a PIN, then tap Next or tap Skip.
Step 10 Review additional apps
Additional apps will be downloaded when Wi-Fi is available. Tap OK to continue.
Step 11 Review Verizon Services
Review Verizon Services and tap Accept to continue.
Step 12 Set up Verizon Cloud
Verizon Cloud gives you added protection by backing up your important information to the cloud. Set up Verizon Cloud by tapping Next or Skip the step.
Step 13 Add Verizon Security & Privacy
Verizon Security & Privacy protects your phone from malware, viruses and other threats. Set up Verizon Security by tapping Accept or Skip the step.
Step 14 About your privacy
From the "About your privacy" screen, verify your settings. Tap Accept and Continue to use your current settings or change your privacy settings.
Step 15 You're all done
From the "Ready to go!" screen, tap Got it to complete setup.
