Learning How to Navigate Your DROID TURBO 2 by Motorola

Check out these quick tips to get the most out of your new phone.
To unlock your phone, simply swipe the unlock icon, up. From the unlock screen you can also swipe the Phone icon to the right to make a call or swipe the Camera icon to the left to take a picture or record a video.
To turn off your screen, quickly press the button on the side of your phone. Press the same button to turn the screen back on.
To power on or off, press and hold the same button, and tap Power off to shut down your phone.
Now let’s look at your phone’s navigation. You can always use the 3 Android™ buttons at the bottom of the screen to navigate.
...The Back button acts like a web browser’s Back button and takes you back to your previous screen
...The Home button will always take you back to your home screen.
...The Recent Apps button allows a quick switch to any app you’ve recently used.
Also, at the bottom of any home screen, you have five quick access icons.
...The Phone icon is your "one stop shop" for everything related to Calling.
...Tap the Verizon Messages icon to read, write and send text messages.
...To get to all of your apps, just tap the Apps icon.
...Tap the Chrome icon to access the web.
...Tap the Camera icon to take a picture or record a video. While recording a video, you can take a picture by tapping anywhere on the screen, or press the pause button to pause the recording.
Google Now keeps you posted with useful information throughout the day. To open Google Now, just touch and hold the Home button, then swipe up to the Google Icon. You’ll see cards that feature topics of your choice, like weather, traffic, and more.
You can also use Google Voice Search to find other information. Tap the microphone icon on the search bar and speak your question directly into your phone:
"Where can I find a good Italian restaurant?"
Your phone will speak back the answer, or run a quick search to get you the information you need.
Next, let's talk about managing your home screen. It has multiple panels that you can personalize however you like.
Swipe left to see your other panels.
You can also create groups of shortcuts to your favorite apps by dragging them together in one folder.
Tap the newly formed group and create a title. Now your favorite apps are organized and easily accessible with a single tap.
Want to add or change the widgets on your home screen? Touch and hold the home screen, tap widgets, and swipe left until you find the widget you want to use.
Touch and hold the widget to add it to a home screen.
To move a widget on your home screen, touch and hold it, then drag it to where you want it.
To resize a widget, touch and hold it until a white box appears around it. Drag from each point until you reach the desired size.
To remove items from your home screen, touch and hold the item until the Remove icon appears at the top of the screen. Drag the item over the Remove icon until it turns red to remove it.
Moving on to notifications ... Whenever you get a message, email or alert, you’ll see a notification in the status bar.
Swipe down from the top of your screen to view these notifications.
Tap a notification to open it using the corresponding application.
To clear a notification, quickly slide it to either side. For meetings, you can map or send emails to attendees.
To clear most notifications, tap CLEAR in the lower right of the Notification Panel.
