Steps to Create a Wired D-Link Home Network


Look at the back of your computer (or the side of your laptop) for a data port. The data port looks like a regular phone port but is larger. In some computers, the Data port is marked with the Ethernet symbol (Figure depicting Ethernet symbol ). If your computer has this port, it has an Ethernet adapter.

Note: The data port is actually part of your Network Interface Card (NIC)
