Steps to create a D-Link DI-624 wireless home network in Windows XP

A combination home network takes advantage of the cost savings and increased speed of using Ethernet cables to connect the computers that are in close proximity to the router. By using wireless network adapters, it also provides the flexibility of a wireless connection for computers in other rooms or for notebook computers that may be used throughout the home.

Using Ethernet cables to connect computers

Generally, Ethernet cables connect computers to the wireless network if they are in very close proximity to the router. Using wireless adapters to connect computers to your home network

After you have connected the computers that are in close proximity to the router using Ethernet cables, you will use wireless network adapters to connect your remote computers. It is much easier to connect computers in other rooms or notebook computers using wireless adapters.
