Note: If you previously connected to the Internet using a dial-up connection, unplug the phone cord from your analog modem (usually located in the back of your computer), then plug that cord into your DSL gateway.
Connect the other end of the phone cord directly into a phone jack or the 2-for-1 adapter. Do not connect the DSL gateway to a filter.
Plug the other end of the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet jack in your computer. If you can't find an Ethernet jack, you may not have a Network Interface Card (NIC) installed. Check to see if you have a NIC installed in your computer. NICs are not provided by Verizon Online.
