Trading in your old phone?

Remove your Google account from your old phone before getting started.

Step 1 Turn off your old phone

Hold the power button until the "Powered by Android" screen appears, then release.

3 Enter your Verizon PINStep 3 Enter your Verizon PIN

If prompted, from the "Verify Your Account" screen, enter your Verizon Account PIN. Follow the onscreen prompts, then tap Next. If you forgot it, reset or create your Account PIN.

From the "Hi there" screen, select the appropriate language, then tap Start.

5 Activate your new Nokia 8 V 5G UWStep 5 Activate your new Nokia 8 V 5G UW

From the "Phone activation" screen, tap Next. Please allow a few minutes for activation to complete.

6 Connect to Wi-FiStep 6 Connect to Wi-Fi

From the "Connect to Wi-Fi" screen, select a network. Enter the password, then tap Connect or Skip the step. If your network isn't shown, tap See all Wi-Fi networks.

7 Transfer your stuffStep 7 Transfer your stuff

Tap Next and follow the steps to transfer your content. If you'd like a fresh start or would like to transfer your stuff later with the Verizon Content Transfer app, tap Don't Copy.

Step 8 Sign in to Google

Sign in to your Google account or create a new one. Signing in to Google allows you to access Gmail and your Google apps.

9 Set up Google servicesStep 9 Set up Google services

Google offers a variety of services that help many of their apps function better. Review all of them and tap the corresponding switch to turn them on. You may need to scroll down to see all of the services. Switches are turned on when in the blue position. Tap Accept after you've turned on all the services you want.

10 Set up FingerprintStep 10 Set up Fingerprint

Adding a fingerprint to your phone allows you to unlock it by touching the power button. Tap Next to set up a fingerprint or Skip.

11 Set up Face unlockStep 11 Set up Face unlock

Setting up Face unlock allows you to unlock your phone by looking into the screen. Tap Next to set up Face unlock or Skip.

12 Protect your phoneStep 12 Protect your phone

Adding a screen lock to your phone allows you to create a PIN to unlock it. Enter a lock code, then tap Next or Skip.

13 Daily SubscriptionsStep 13 Daily Subscriptions

From the "Subscribe to get daily updates from the Assistant" screen, tap the checkbox next to the options you'd like and then tap Next.

Review the information on how to access the Google Assistant, then tap Next to continue.

15 Voice MatchStep 15 Voice Match

Review the information, then tap I Agree to setup Voice Match or Skip the step.

From the "Anything else" screen, tap the preferred option (email, font, wallpaper, etc.), to set up or tap No thanks.

17 Verizon ServicesStep 17 Verizon Services

From the "Verizon Services" screen, verify your Location and Apps info, then tap Accept to use your location and app info settings.

18 Set up Verizon CloudStep 18 Set up Verizon Cloud

Verizon Cloud gives you added protection by backing up your important information to the cloud. Set up Verizon Cloud by tapping Agree or Skip the step.

19 Digital SecureStep 19 Digital Secure

Verizon Digital Secure protects your phone from malware, viruses and other threats. Set up Verizon security by tapping Accept or Skip the step.

20 You're all doneStep 20 You're all done

From the "Ready to go!" screen, tap Got It! to complete setup.
