Trading in your old phone?

Remove your Google account from your old phone before getting started.

Step 1 Turn off your old phone

Hold the power button until the Samsung screen appears, then release.

From the "Welcome" screen, select the appropriate language, then tap Start.

From the "A few legal items to review" screen, review the Terms and Conditions. Select I have read and agree to all of the above, then tap Next.

5 Enter your Verizon PINStep 5 Enter your Verizon PIN

If prompted, from the "Verify Your Account" screen, enter your Verizon Account PIN. Follow the on-screen prompts, then tap Next. If you forgot it, reset or create your Account PIN.

6 Activate your Galaxy A03sStep 6 Activate your Galaxy A03s

Ensure the correct mobile number is listed, then tap Next. Please allow a few minutes for activation to complete.

7 Connect to Wi-FiStep 7 Connect to Wi-Fi

From the "Set up Wi-Fi" screen, select a network. Enter the password and tap Connect or Skip the step. If your network isn't shown, tap Add network.

8 Copy apps & dataStep 8 Copy apps & data

Tap Next to copy your data and follow the steps to transfer your content. If you'd like to transfer your stuff later using Verizon Cloud, tap Don't copy.

9 Sign in to GoogleStep 9 Sign in to Google

Sign in to your Google account, then tap Next, or create a new one. Signing in to Google allows you to access Gmail and your Google apps.

Review Google’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy documents, then tap I agree to continue setting up your phone.

Google offers a variety of services that help many of their apps function better. Review all of them and tap the corresponding switch to turn them on. You may need to scroll down to see all of the services. Switches are turned on when in the blue position. Tap Accept after you've turned on all the services you want.

12 Protect your phoneStep 12 Protect your phone

Add a PIN, pattern, password, face recognition, or fingerprints or choose Skip to bypass locking your screen.

13 Access your Assistant with Hey GoogleStep 13 Access your Assistant with Hey Google

From the "Access your Assistant with Hey Google" screen, tap I agree to set up Google Assistant or tap Skip.

14 Access your Assistant without unlocking your phoneStep 14 Access your Assistant without unlocking your phone

From the "Access your Assistant without unlocking your phone" screen, tap I agree to allow Assistant on the lock screen or Skip the step.

15 Verizon ServicesStep 15 Verizon Services

Verizon Services help to improve your experience and optimize your service. Tap the corresponding switch to turn Select Location info and Apps info on or off, then tap Accept.

16 Verizon CloudStep 16 Verizon Cloud

Verizon Cloud gives you added protection by backing up your important information to the cloud. Set up Verizon Cloud by tapping Next or Skip the step.

17 Digital SecureStep 17 Digital Secure

Verizon Digital Secure protects your phone from malware, viruses and other threats. Set up Digital Secure by tapping Accept or Skip the step.

18 Samsung Account sign inStep 18 Samsung Account sign in

Sign in to your existing Samsung account, create a new account or Skip the step. Signing in to your Samsung account allows you to access services like the Galaxy Store, Samsung Pay and Find My Mobile.

19 Setup completeStep 19 Setup complete

Tap Open My Verizon to set up the My Verizon app or tap Done to exit the Setup Wizard.
