Trading in your old phone?

Remove your Google account from your old phone before getting started.

Hold the power button until the TCL screen appears, then release.

From the “Welcome” screen, select the appropriate language, then tap Get Started.

From the "TCL Terms and Conditions" screen, review the Privacy policy and Terms of Service and tap Accept and Continue.

From the "Phone activation" screen, tap Next. Please allow a few minutes for activation to complete.

From the "Set up Wi-Fi" screen, select a network. Enter the password and tap Connect or Skip the step. If your network isn't shown, tap Refresh List.

7 Transfer your stuffStep 7 Transfer your stuff

From the "Copy apps & data" screen, tap Next. Follow the steps to transfer your content. If you'd like a fresh start or would like to transfer your stuff later, tap Don’t copy.

From the "Bring your data from…" screen, select an option and then tap Next or Don't copy to continue.

9 Sign in to GoogleStep 9 Sign in to Google

Sign in to your Google account or create a new one. Signing in to Google allows you to access Gmail and your Google apps.

10 Never lose your contactsStep 10 Never lose your contacts

Have Google Contacts automatically sync device contacts so they're backed up and available across Google services. Tap Turn on Back up & sync or Don't sync device contacts to continue.

11 Google Terms of ServiceStep 11 Google Terms of Service

From the "Terms of Service" screen, tap I agree or Don't add this account now after you've turned on all the services you want.

From the "Google services" screen, tap More. After reviewing all of the info, tap Accept. Tap any of the optional services to turn on or off.

Use your fingerprint to unlock your phone or approve purchases. Tap Skip or Next to continue.

14 Unlock with faceStep 14 Unlock with face

Use your face to unlock your phone or approve purchases. Tap Skip or Next to continue.

15 Google Assistant UpdatesStep 15 Google Assistant Updates

From the "Check out what's trending with Google Assistant" screen, tap Next to continue.

16 Voice MatchStep 16 Voice Match

Voice Match allows your Assistant to identify you. To setup Voice Match, tap I Agree. Otherwise, tap Skip.

Add another email address, change the font size, change the wallpaper, or add another fingerprint. If you’re finished, tap No thanks.

18 Verizon servicesStep 18 Verizon services

From the "Verizon services" screen, review the available options and tap the corresponding switch to turn them on or off. Switches are turned on when in the blue position. Tap OK after you've turned on all the services you want.

19 Set up Verizon CloudStep 19 Set up Verizon Cloud

Verizon Cloud gives you added protection by backing up your important information to the cloud. Set up Verizon Cloud by tapping Agree or Skip the step.

20 Ready to goStep 20 Ready to go

Tap My Verizon to set up the My Verizon app or tap Got it! to exit the Setup Wizard.
