Google spent some time on this one!

5 out of 5 rating

PatriciaL . 1 month ago

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Listen, I’ve been using the Google Pixel 9 for a while now, and if you’re looking for the "short version," here it is: Google finally stopped making "science projects" and started making a real phone. For years, being a Pixel fan was like dating someone with a "great personality" who occasionally forgot to pay the electric bill. The cameras were amazing, but the battery was 50/50, and the signal would just drop if you looked at a basement the wrong way. With the Pixel 9, it feels like Google finally grew up. The Build: It’s a Tank (in a Good Way) First off, the design. I know everyone says it looks like an iPhone now with the flat edges, and... yeah, it kind of does. But honestly? Good. It feels incredibly solid. There’s a "density" to it that makes my old Pixel 7 feel like a toy. The camera "bar" is now more of a "pill" that doesn't go all the way across. I was worried it would look weird, but in person, it’s actually pretty sleek. Plus, it still doesn't rock when you type with it flat on a table, which is my biggest pet peeve with literally every other phone.

Horrible Phone Compared to Samsung!

1 out of 5 rating

Redhot317 . 5 months ago

This phone is in no way comparable to Samsung! Give me back my Samsung! I will never own another Google Pixel 9 again. Once I am able to get back in a Samsung, I am gone. People that say the sound is better, NO WAY! Pictures are the same as my last Samsung. No better. Speaker and sound are horrible. Just an overall horrible phone...

Worst phone I have ever owned

1 out of 5 rating

Dawn . 7 months ago

I was told this phone takes great pictures and it does. Organizing ans sharing them is a total pain to do. Lots of steps and them it retains everything you edit and save. Can't see in phone but it is there when you open on your computer for further editing. You have to set filters just to find what you are looking for. I can even begin to explain how much I hate this phone. I do not get notifications that I need and lots that I don't. I currently have a battery montior that I dont need to see and it wont go away even if you turn it off. DO NOT BUY GOOGLE PIXEL PHONES!

I really cannot rate this since I can't use it. Setting it up requires that I connect both old and new phones to WIFI. This is incomprehensible to me. Verizon cell IS my wifi.... Perhaps you know someone up the food chain who might be interested in making cell phones actually work? Next time I spend a week or so in the big city I'll find an open wifi and get it set up. BTW, I did try setting it up without wifi. I estimate it would take the rest of the year just to backup the old phone.

0 out of 5 stars really. I ordered for pickup, received confirmation, tracked online, but NEVER received an e-mail saying when to pick up. The order was cancelled by VERIZON due to "failure to pick up at store." Verizon does not want to do business with its customers. 0 out 5 stars for Verizon as well.
