Disabling Number Share is required when you want your connected device to operate with its own unique phone number instead of using the primary line's number for calls and texts.

Before you begin

To disable Number Share for the following devices, the line must either be disconnected or paired with another compatible smartphone:
  • Palm
  • Apple Watch® Series 3 and 4
  • Samsung Galaxy Watch4 / Watch4 Classic
Turning off Number Share changes the monthly access charge for the shared device.
Changes can take up to 15 minutes to appear on your account

Steps

  1. Open the
    My Verizon app
    .
  2. Tap the
    Mobile tab
    .
  3. Tap
    Manage devices
    .
  4. Tap
    Device Management
     then tap
    Manage Number Share
    .
  5. Below the desired connected device (e.g., Samsung Galaxy Watch, Palm, etc.), tap
    Convert to standalone plan
    .
    Turning off Number Share changes the monthly access charge for the shared device.
  6. Review the Manage Number Share screen then tap
    Continue
    .
  7. When prompted with 'You're all set.', tap
    Done
    .
