Turning data on your Galaxy Watch4 / Galaxy Watch4 Classic provides access to online services over the cellular network, while turning it off will impact that experience unless connected to Wi-Fi.
From your Android™ smartphone, ensure your watch's software is up to date as the steps below apply to the most recent version.
  1. From the watch screen, open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Connections
    Mobile networks
    .
  3. Do any of the following:
    • Turn Data On / Off
      1. Tap
        Mobile data
         to turn on or off.
        Mobile network must be set to 'On' for this setting to be accessible.
      2. If prompted, tap
        OK
        .
    • Allow / Deny Data Roaming
      Depending on your plan, enabling data roaming may cause roaming charges (e.g., when traveling internationally ).
      1. Tap
        Data roaming
        .
      2. If prompted, review the disclaimer then tap the
        Checkmark icon
         to confirm.
      3. Select one of the following:
        • Auto
        • Always on
        • Always off
