Samsung Galaxy Watch4 / Galaxy Watch4 Classic - Back Up Data

Here's how to back up your Galaxy Watch4 / Galaxy Watch4 Classic data via the Galaxy Wearables app.
  • From your Android™ smartphone, ensure the Galaxy Wearable app is installed and updated.
  • Backup requires the Smart Switch app to be installed on your companion phone.
    When the watch is connected to your phone, Smart Switch automatically backs up your watch data and files it to your phone periodically.
    If Smart Switch is uninstalled, backups saved on your phone will be deleted.
  1. From your companion phone, open the
    Galaxy Wearable app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Watch settings
    Accounts and backup
    .
  3. Tap the
    Backup section
    .
  4. If prompted, tap
    Open Smart Switch
    .
    Smart Switch may require download if not already installed.
  5. Review the required permissions then tap
    Allow
    .
  6. If Backup files are listed, view the date and time of the last backup.
    If signed in your Samsung account, backups can be saved to the Samsung Cloud.
    When the watch is connected to your phone, Smart Switch automatically backs up your watch data and files it to your phone periodically.
