Hold the power button until the "Powered by android" screen appears, then release.

3 Enter your Verizon PINStep 3 Enter your Verizon PIN

If prompted, from the "Verify Your Account" screen, enter your Verizon Account PIN. Follow the onscreen prompts, then tap Next. If you forgot it, reset or create your Account PIN.

From the "Welcome to" screen, select the appropriate language, then tap Start.

From the "Phone activation" screen, tap Next. Please allow a few minutes for activation to complete.

6 Connect to Wi-FiStep 6 Connect to Wi-Fi

From the "Set up Wi-Fi" screen, select a network. Enter the password and tap Connect or Next to skip the step. If your network isn't shown, tap Refresh List.

7 Transfer your stuffStep 7 Transfer your stuff

Tap Next and follow the steps to transfer your content. If you'd like a fresh start or would like to transfer your stuff later with the Verizon Content Transfer app, tap Don't copy.

Step 8 Sign in to Google

Sign in to your Google account or create a new one. Signing in to Google allows you to access Gmail and your Google apps.

9 Set up Google servicesStep 9 Set up Google services

Google offers a variety of services that help many of their apps function better. Review all of them and tap the corresponding switch to turn them on. You may need to scroll down to see all of the services. Switches are turned on when in the blue position. Tap Accept after you've turned on all the services you want.

10 Protect your phoneStep 10 Protect your phone

Adding a device protection feature to your phone allows you to set up fingerprint, Face unlock or create a pattern, PIN, or password to unlock it. Select the screen lock you want to use, then tap Next. Follow the setup steps. To set up later, tap Skip.

From the "Check out what's trending with Google Assistant" screen, tap Next.

12 Voice MatchStep 12 Voice Match

Review the information, then tap I Agree to set up Voice Match or Skip the step.

13 Anything elseStep 13 Anything else

From the "Anything else?" screen, tap the preferred option (email, font, wallpaper, etc.), to set up or tap No thanks.

14 Verizon ServicesStep 14 Verizon Services

From the "Verizon Services" screen, verify your Location and Apps info. Tap Accept to use your location and app info settings.

15 Set up Verizon CloudStep 15 Set up Verizon Cloud

Verizon Cloud gives you added protection by backing up your important information to the cloud. Set up Verizon Cloud by tapping Agree or Skip the step.

16 Add Digital SecureStep 16 Add Digital Secure

Verizon Digital Secure protects your phone from malware, viruses and other threats. Set up Verizon Security by tapping Accept or Skip the step.

17 You're all doneStep 17 You're all done

From the "Ready to Go!" screen, tap Got it! to complete the setup.
