My Numbers FAQs

My Numbers is an app-based service that allows you to subscribe to up to 4 virtual phone numbers for use as additional phone numbers on your existing smartphone. You can make and receive calls and texts from any of these virtual phone numbers all on one device.

Each subscription to a phone number costs $15 per month. You can subscribe to a maximum of 4 phone numbers with My Numbers. Data charges will apply when using the My Number service when connected to a cellular network and according to your device's data plan. My Numbers includes unlimited calling, texting and voicemails.

Voice minutes and text messages do not count against your smartphone voice and text plan.

Yes, but the selection is limited to the U.S. numbers and area codes that are available at that time. If there are no numbers available with the Area Code you want, you'll be able to search for a number with a different Area Code. If there are no more numbers available in your state, you can choose a number from a different state.

My Numbers is compatible with 5G Android smartphones and 4G iOS® and Android™ smartphones.

At this time, Verizon prepaid customers, business customers and government accounts (federal, state and local) are not eligible to sign up for My Numbers.

No. Call Forwarding, Call Filter, No Answer Transfer, Smart Family usage controls, and other Verizon network-based features are not supported by My Numbers. Blocked contacts you may have set on your mobile device will not be blocked in the My Numbers service.

Yes, you will be able to receive voicemail as an audio file delivered to the app. Plus you can record your custom voicemail greeting with the My Numbers app.

You can cancel one or more of your subscriptions at any time by selecting the phone number(s) you want to cancel under "Manage Subscriptions". If you cancel a subscription before the end of your current subscription cycle, you will be able to use the phone number until the end of the subscription cycle, but you will not receive a credit or refund for any remaining days in such cycle.

When you travel to another country, you will need an international data roaming plan or Wi-Fi connection to use My Numbers. The same limitations apply when you access My Numbers within or outside the United States.

You may be able to transfer or "port" your phone number to another carrier. Because of the nature of the My Numbers service, porting times may take longer than usual. Verizon will treat all porting requests from your new service provider as though you asked us to cancel your service for that number, even if you have not independently notified us of the porting request. We will terminate service only after we receive notification from our local exchange carrier that the porting is complete. After the porting is completed, you won't be able to use the My Numbers service for that number, but you'll remain responsible for all fees and charges through the end of that subscription cycle.

Existing phone numbers cannot be ported in to My Numbers
