Verifying that the Client for Microsoft Networks is installed  
  1. Verify that Client for Microsoft Networks is included under "This connection uses the following items" and that it is checked.
    • The Client for Microsoft Networks component is required to access shared folders or printers on your home network.

  2. If the "Client for Microsoft Networks" is already installed, you can skip to Step 7
    If "Client for Microsoft Networks" isn't checked, select Client for Microsoft Networks. You can skip to Step 7.
    If "Client for Microsoft Networks" isn't listed, click Install and complete the remaining steps in this section.
