Verizon is pleased to announce a software update for your device. This software update has been tested to optimize device performance, resolve known issues and apply the latest security patches.

What's changing:
The current software update addresses the following:

- Modem crash, kernel panic, and connection manager fixes
- Performance improvements for modem crash, kernel panic, and connection manager scenarios that resulted in the internet connection being lost and restored and/or the gateway needing to be rebooted.
- Wi-Fi Extender pairing fixes
- Performance improvement for situations that prevented some gateways from pairing with Wi-Fi extenders via WPS.
- WebGUI updates and fixes
- Enhanced user experience to:
- Allow blocking of incoming IPv6 pings to LAN Global IPv6 addresses.
- Correctly display device type for certain iPhone models as Phone.
- Correctly display DNS server IP address and IPv6 WAN address.
- Improve visibility of metrics from Verizon Wi-Fi Extenders.
- Prevent GUI input exploitation and crashes from invalid requests.
- Support client-initiated FW upgrades when applicable.
- Integrated QR code in GUI to support device repositioning for 5G dBm visual.
- Increased backup size limit to prevent issues with saving large backup config files.
- Enhanced user experience to:
- Performance and stability improvements
- Added support for Wi-Fi ChannelTxOP, Wi-Fi SecureEdge phase 1, and WMM QoS Performance (Wi-Fi MultiMedia Quality of Service).
- Improved Wi-Fi client connectivity and support.
- Enabled RTS/CTS for upstream and bi-directional traffic to improve Wi-Fi throughput stability.
- Improved OMA DM design, format, responses, and transmission.
- Added support for IP Passthrough mode.
- Added PMTU rule for IP Passthrough mode to prevent issues with certain website connections.
- Resolved occurrences where Wi-Fi would continue broadcasting with IP Passthrough mode enabled.
- Added support for TCP MSS clamping on IPv6.
- Resolved specific scenarios where:
- The hardware reset button would not work as expected.
- Memory leaks would occur.
- Processes would crash.
- Updated API to improve wireless connectivity when manually switching between Wi-Fi bands.
- Updated LED design to prevent incorrect LED behavior in specific scenarios.
