System Update 2
Release date: 07/09/2020
Software version: LT70B_0546
This software update introduces new Tracking Modes for your Smart Locator.
This tracking mode has a simple setup that uses your home's Wi-Fi to create a geofence for your pet 24 hours a day. You will receive notification alerts whenever you pet enters or leaves your Home's Wi-Fi broadcast area.
This mode is for tracking items that are on-the-move, like keys and luggage.
Motion Alerts allows you to receive notifications when the item you are tracking starts moving. This tracking mode allows the tracker to sleep when no movement is detected and wake up when movement occurs. It is the most battery efficient mode for objects that do not move often throughout the day (e.g., bicycle, motorcycle).
The Custom mode allows you to change the advanced settings of your Smart Locator. If you change the default settings in the other 3 modes, your mode will automatically be switched to Custom.
This software update adds the ability to use Wi-Fi to setup geofences within Location Alerts. In most cases, using Wi-Fi will reduce the battery consumption during times when your Location Alerts have been set. If there is no Wi-Fi at the location where you would like to set a Location alert, you can still set the Location alert area wherever you choose.
