Can I watch Fios TV on my computer or mobile device?

In addition to watching Fios TV on your television through your set-top box, you can watch anywhere you have an internet connection using the Fios TV Mobile app. In fact, you can stream movies and shows on compatible devices like tablets, smartphones or computers.

With the Verizon Fios app, you can watch live TV channels, find TV listings or stream on-demand movies and shows—and Verizon Wireless customers can stream without impacting their wireless data allotment when using the Verizon Fios TV Mobile app. You can also use the app to manage your DVR remotely or use your compatible device as a remote control for your Verizon HD set-top box.

It's also easy to watch Fios TV on a computer. Just visit the Verizon Fios website in your web browser and log in. Some channels, including local affiliates, may not be available for streaming through the website.

Is Verizon Fios TV available in my area?

Verizon Fios TV requires a fiber-optic connection. To check Verizon Fios availability in your area, enter your address and select "Get started." To check which TV channels or local affiliates are available or to compare packages, search the Fios channel lineup tool.

What channels are included with Fios TV?

Channels and TV packages vary by location. To check which channels are available in your area, including local channels, search the Verizon Fios TV guide. You can also use the Fios TV Mobile app to search for channels, find upcoming showtimes and set your DVR.

For a printable, large-print version of the channel guide, download the Fios TV listings.

What are the Fios TV local channels?

The Fios TV local channels—broadcast stations like ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox—that are available to you will depend on your location. Local channels are transmitted over airwaves for free, and Verizon includes them as part of Fios TV. For example, in New York City the local NBC affiliate can be found on Channel 4 or Channel 504 in HD.

However, some channels and programs may not be available on your TV or in the Fios TV Mobile app due to licensing agreements with broadcasters, and some channels may only be available when you're connected to your home network.

To find your local channels or to learn what channels are included in your Fios TV package, search the Fios TV channel lineup tool. You can also use the Guide button on your Fios TV remote to browse available channels.

How do I find out what number a channel is?

To find specific Fios channel numbers, you can use the Fios TV channel lineup tool. You can search for channels in the form field or select your TV package to find the complete list of channels.

For example, wondering what channel is Bravo TV on Verizon Fios? Use the channel lineup tool to search for Bravo TV, and it will tell you the channel number in your area or show you which Fios TV packages include the channel.

Does Verizon Fios TV have access to streaming services?

Yes, you can easily access subscription streaming services on Fios TV. Some Fios TV equipment, like the Multi-Room DVR, Fios TV One and Fios TV One Mini, have built-in apps like Netflix, YouTube and Pluto TV, so you can easily find your favorite subscriptions from your home screen. If you use a compatible Stream TV device, you can download streaming apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu and others through the Google Play Store.

If you use the Verizon Fios TV streaming app, the Fios TV Home app allows you to stream Fios TV content on compatible devices, like streaming sticks and smart TVs. The device must be connected to your Fios router to use the app, which allows you to watch live TV channels and on-demand movies and shows, as well as manage your DVR recordings.

Some Verizon Fios TV plans include access to different streaming services, and you can save on some services by adding exclusive Verizon entertainment perk bundles to your plan.

How do I program the Verizon Fios TV remote to my TV?

Fios TV remotes have different codes that work specifically for each make and model. Download your remote's user guide for complete information about setting up your remote, TV codes, programming and more.

Typically, to program Fios TV remotes to control your TV, you'll use the remote’s built-in code search or manual setup features. Or you can use the automatic code search feature.

If you have a Fios TV Voice Remote:

  • Point it at your Fios TV One device.
  • Press and hold the Play/Pause button and 0 button simultaneously until the blue light flashes.
  • When the blue light stops flashing, your device and remote are paired and ready to use.
  • If automatic setup doesn't work, go to the remote programming menu in your Fios TV settings, select Manual Setup and choose your TV brand and model.

If you have a Fios TV+ Remote:

  • First, unpair your old remote by pressing and holding the button on top of your Fios TV+ device for 15 seconds.
  • Use the button on top of your device to navigate to the Unpair remote option on the onscreen menu.
  • Once Unpair remote is selected, press the button and hold for three seconds.
  • After the old remote is disconnected, follow the onscreen prompts to pair your new remote.

If you have a standard Fios TV remote:

  • Locate the three- or four-digit code for your TV brand in the Fios TV remote user guide.
  • Turn on your TV and your Fios TV set-top box, and press and hold the OK and 0 buttons simultaneously.
  • Enter the code for your TV brand and then press the channel up button repeatedly until your TV turns off.
  • When the TV turns off, press the OK button to save the code.

Some TVs may respond differently to the code search, so it may take a few minutes for the remote to cycle through the codes. Still not sure how to program a Fios remote to the TV? Contact Verizon customer service or call 800-837-4966.

Can I cancel Fios TV but keep my internet service?

Yes, you can cancel Fios TV but keep your Verizon Home Internet service. If you're thinking about canceling your Fios TV plan, contact Verizon customer service or call 800-837-4966.

If you do decide to cancel Fios TV but keep your home internet plan, you may still be able to include your favorites by adding your favorite streaming services and entertainment bundles, like YouTube TV, Netflix, HBO Max and more as perks.
