Google Pixel 4a Software Update
Verizon is pleased to announce a software update for your device. This software update has been tested to help optimize device performance, resolve known issues, apply the latest security patches and, when available, deliver new features.
Before you download:
- Connect your device to a Wi-Fi network, or make sure it has a strong Verizon wireless network connection.
- Ensure your battery is fully charged before starting the software update.

- Display & Graphics issues:
- That caused display brightness level to adjust when switching between user profiles.

- Improvements for Work profile account syncing or connection between certain apps.

- That occasionally prevented NFC to trigger until the device is restarted.

- User interface sporadic issues:
- Added the option to disable animation for PIN entry on the lock screen.
- App titles appeared truncated or cut off in the app drawer.
- Certain grouped notifications appeared rounded at the corners.
- Tint or shading appeared over app.
- Device become unresponsive after quickly locking and unlocking.
- Keyboard appeared when navigating to the home screen.
- Lock screen notifications overlapped with the lock icon.
- Lock screen displayed a charging status when the device wasn't plugged into the charger.
- Notifications area was hidden or blank in the notification shade.
- Notifications overlay appeared outside the bounds of the notification shade.
- Volume controls pane was cut off at the bottom of the screen.
- Wallpaper disappeared when opening or closing the notification shade.
- Keyboard didn't display when the notification shade was expanded.
- Mobile network icon didn't display in the status bar.
- Quick Settings buttons didn't respond to touch input.
- Quick Settings didn't expand when swiping down.
- Work profile account onboarding didn't work during first setup.
- Improvement to Lock screen touch sensitivity or response under certain conditions.
