Software Update Assistant for Verizon Orbic® Speed™ Mobile Hotspot

1. Use these instructions if you can't update from software version ORB400L_v1.1.5_BVZRT on your Orbic Speed by using the device menu.
2. Before you begin, ensure your PC supports Windows 10 or higher.
   
   Note: This application is not supported by other Windows versions or Mac PC or ARM base4 PCs.
3. Ensure your PC can access the internet.
4. Be sure you have a USB-C cable (provided with your device) to connect your Orbic Speed to a Windows PC.

1. Download the Orbic Speed update application RC400L Upgrade Tool and save it to your Windows PC.
2. Double click the RC400L_Upgrade_Tool_Setup_20210624.exe file.
   
   Note: If a security warning displays, choose Ignore, Run Anyway, etc.

3. Click Yes and follow the on-screen instructions.
4. Select Open when Setup completes, then click Finish.

5. The application will automatically start.
   
   Note: The application can also be launched from the desktop shortcut.

6. Using the USB cable provided, connect your Orbic Speed to your computer. Click Start.
7. Wait until the progress bar has been fully completed.

8. When "Upgrade Successful" is shown, click Close.

9. Unplug your Orbic Speed from the USB C-type cable.

To confirm your device has been updated:

1. Navigate to the "Device Info" heading in the Orbic Speed device menu by selecting the Menu button.
2. Select the Power button to view Device Info.
3. Confirm that your Orbic Speed has been updated to firmware version "ORB400L_V1.2.2_BVZRT".
